Waterproofing Soft Leather Duffle Bag

It is a soft, Chestnut coloured leather

I am wondering how I can waterproof it without affecting the look or feel of the leather since I will be walking to and from work with it

I believe shops like Anaconda / Kathmandu sell water repellent spray that is meant for garments (think coats, shoes etc).

Not sure if it works on leather.

Probably want a leather oil, not a waterproofer.
