  • Targeted? Not in my Amex offers on the app

    • Well, you do appear to live in Perth; maybe that’s why? ;)

Got it on my two DJs Amex cards and my Velocity Escape (Sydneysider)

    • Definitely targeted. 'by invitation only'

  • Got an email about this offer this morning.

Your limited time Offer at Merivale restaurants.
American Express is inviting you to dine at Merivale, Sydney’s flagship restaurant group. Book and dine at one of their 50 venues until 8 February, and you’ll get $25 back when you spend $100 or more in one transaction, in person, with your American Express Card* – all you need to do is save the Offer to your Card.

  • Invite only.

  • +2

The one transaction criteria makes this harder to use at a merivale pub since you do mostly multiple transations at the different outlets in the pub on each visit.

Could buy a gift card I guess

      • +1

        +1 Merivale gift cards work

        • Did you buy the gift card online? And was it an e-gift card?

Lol I'm in Melbourne and I got this. Dumb analytics.

    • It’s a sign you should come and visit Sydney ;)

    • Same here. I was wondering what this Merivale was.

I saw Slurrey Hills and remembered last time I was there, walking over gentlmen enjoying a mid arvo fine chateau la chunder on my way to get some turkish pizza.

      I'm guessing it's changed slightly?

    • I’m also in Melbourne and I’ve received this offer as well. But I did avail the opal Amex offer way back and used it. I’m guessing it might be something about using my Amex in NSW?

      • Was that for a free condo in the Opal Tower?

Got this last year which IIRC was a better deal but I didn't feel it was worth it for the restaurants I went. Sushi e and Mr Wong. The settings were nice but food very ordinary. Unless you are a bringing a date to impress I suggest don't need to bother, even with the cashback

    • Out of all the Merivale places I've eaten at so far, Uccello and Ms.G's are my favourites. Agree with you about Mr Wong

      • +1

Agree +1, Mr Wong is great for a 3rd base Tinder date, just because… otherwise its crap.

        • How come?

          • +2

            @bashar20: Overpriced Cantonese food

            • @kerfuffle: I was more curious about the 3rd base tinder dates bit.

              • +1

@bashar20: It's a 'classy' way of sealing the deal and achieving the end goal. Mr Wong is popular amongst he twenty something gals who love the gram.

      • Thanks. Might try them out in this case

I live in Melbourne and got this too.

    • Second it

      • Live in Brisbane got this too

  • Is anyone experiencing recently no Amex offers at all? My offer is still only the Hilton one for a good few months!

    • There was a flood of offers for the Christmas/ New Year period but it's quiet now. I guess it's now time for a bit of winding down and beginning renegotiations with new clients for the Amex team.

  • +1

For those with multiple offers, The Bottle Shop will let you do split payment for the Merivale Gift Card; bought one last night

    • Is this the one in Palings Lane? Presumably you got the Amex emails right after purchase?

      • Dunno about the street name but you do walk into a laneway. As for the Amex e-mails, I got one for my DJs Amex but not the Velocity Escape Amex (which also had the offer saved on my app under my old card number).

      • +1

Received credits for both cards despite not receiving two e-mails
