Are There Any Smart TVs under 32"

Hey all - I have searched high and low for a smart TV smaller than 32" but need to leverage your considerable expertise here as I've not found one in my searches online.

Is this just something that isn't manufactured? I know a Chromecast is a cheap way of casting content to a non-smart tv but was just curious if there are any smaller smart TVs on the market

Cheers

You won't get a smart TV at that size, no. Not that you REALLY want a smart TV… do you?

I'm sure almost everyone here will agree that a Chromecast is the superior option to a smart TV. But you could always use a Roku or equivalent media box to do the same thing - and you're not restricted by screen size or lack of firmware updates.

What's your reasoning for wanting the smart features?

Buy a chromecast/Roku/cheapnonamemediabox/appletv etc with whatever size you want.

  • Cheers for the fast responses! I personally love the Chromecast and have one on the main telly but wanted a small smart tv for the bedroom so the missus can navigate with the remote rather than cast through the the phone. Surprised there just don't seem to be any smart TVs under 32" on the market. Might just save myself the pain in the arse and get another Chromecast!

As for TVs around 24", any recommendations? Leaning towards a Hisense but see Soniq and TEAC also have options at this size…

    • Have you looked at Fetch? You can get a mini pretty cheap and has Stan, Netflix, YouTube apps which you can use the remote with.

      • Yeah I have the fetch mighty on my main tv but I've got a wall mount in corner of room that I want to put the 24" tv on so not sure how I'd connect up a fetch mini without mounting that behind the TV somewhere…

    • Vodafone TV.

I have just replaced the CC for the same reason: Missus complained about using her phone to navigate Plex. Voda TV is great!

      • I'll second this simply because OP mentions they're mounting the TV and I have a VTV propped snuggly between the TV and mount thanks to having a bluetooth remote.

    • How about Apple TV? It has a remote, no need to use your phone.

  • I'd suggest an inexpensive china droid box. I had one hooked up to a 32" TV with a microsoft 800 wireless keyboard and mouse attached to the box. awesome, and perfect for web browsing, youtubing and streaming.

That is 32". Doubt you will find one smaller.

Side note, 24" does get pretty small after a while. If you're wall-mounting, why not get a 32"?

Insert "bigger is always better in the bedroom" joke

    • Haha! I'm not sure my wall mount would support a 32" as its in the top corner of the room on an articulating wall mount. No idea what kind of weight it handles as it came with the house 8 years ago. Although…perhaps the old tv mounted to it would've weighed more than a current day 32"? In that case it's just making sure the tv fits the space

      • We lived with a 24" in the bedroom for a while, and was small. Was a freebie with my fridge lol
