I came across this tommy swiss ebay store from the past threads. Is it any good? Any past buyers please recommend and also is fabric bed is better than leather?

just go to your local bedding store and ask them.
We have a Tommy Swiss, queen size gas lift bed frame (Gabrielle) in our guest room.
Positives:
- Cheap
- Base seems relatively sturdy
- No issues being used as a daily sleeper for the past 3 months
Negatives:
- Cheaply made (kind of goes hand in hand with being cheap)
- Headboard is a bit flimsy and doesn't seem like it would provide much support if not against a wall (not sure who wouldn't have their bed against a wall, but saying so just in case there is someone)
- Metal frame that holds mattress comes in numerous pieces and needs to be bolted together, this is not as sturdy as our main bed which has a one piece frame. It is somewhat twisted with the mattress off due to the pressure of the gas lifters, but is not noticeable with the mattress on.
- No instructions are included in box, you have to follow online instructions which is okay, but might not be for some
- They use Hunter Express to deliver (it's worth checking their reviews online)
I prefer our Australian made king size gas lift bed in the main bedroom, but it was also just over twice the price.

Only if you want storage underneath. We like to keep summer/winter bedding, extra pillows/sheets, etc. under there.
I assume the non gas lift will have somewhat similar frames for flat pack purposes, but should be sturdier as they would be fixed in place and not movable. Online instructions should confirm.
Your better to get an ensemble base (around $300) that to buy a cheap wooden frame. The frames start squeaking especially if there is 2 of you in it and you like to have sex a lot.
