Are Aircons Sold by Domain Reliable and Good Quality?

Looking for 3.5kw reverse cycle split aircon and came across following listing'
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-DOMAIN-PREMIUM-3-5KW-INVERTE…

They were part of Ebay 20% off promotion recently and claim to have warehouse in VIC.

Has anyone bought from this company and what is the quality like?

They only offer 3 years warranty.

  • It looks a replica/copy of daikin.

I would say you're better off spending a little more $ and getting a well known brand.
Installation is probably going to cost the same either way.

For a couple hundred more you can get a Mitsubishi, or $300 more for a Fujitsu or Daikin - you will do better having a proper name-brand appliance which can be serviced easier and has a decent warranty.

  • We had a 5KW Domain AC installed in our Apartment when it was built a few years ago.
the builder chose it because it was the cheapest he can source, the unit itself is terrible - very high power usage and limited functions.

If you can't afford a Daiken, try Mitubsihi or Fujitsu.

By the way, when you see a little logo screaming "100% Australian Company!!" avoid at all costs.
All this loophole means is that you have a registered office space in AU with an ABN/ACN which costs next to nothing.

  • This looks like junk. I won't even touch Kelvinator let alone this.

You'll spend more than the unit getting it installed. You may as well spend an extra ~$100-200 and a get a Fujitsu at a minimum.

  • I have 2 LG's and they are awesome (newest models)

App is a little slow and tedious at first, but once you get used to it, its good enough.

  • Agree with others. For the sake of another couple hundred get a brand name from a reputable retailer, ideally through the installation mob so you don't get the run around if there is a problem.

  • Does anyone know any current good deal on 3.5KW and 5KWH? I am also looking for aircon these days

    • Are you in Melbourne ?

      • Sydney

$740 sounds very expensive for 3.5kw and in a no name brand. Pay a few hundred more and get a Mitsubishi Heavy Industries model - it will cost you less in the long run once you factor in repairs, maintenance and overall mental sanity.

  • A 3.5kw daikin reverse cycle inverter will be <$1000 supply only. $1500 supplied and installed.

You'll get the extra dollars back in power savings very quickly plus the intangibles of reliability, quietness, etc.

  • Thanks everyone

Looking into Mistubishi, which one is better?

    MSZGL35VGDKIT or SRK35ZSA-W?
