Citibank ATMs and ATM Fees in Indonesia

Hi everyone,

I’m going to bali for a few days and was planning to use GOJEK since they are so cheap however they don’t accept international bank cards or credit cards so it looks like cash. The Citibank atm that used to be in the domestic airport (a walk over from international) has reportedly been removed.

Does anyone know
1. What the ATM fees are for normal ATMs with international bank cards? and
2 Whether there are any open at about 10pm at denpasar international airport.

Really appreciate it!

If you use an ING card you'll get the ATM fees refunded. Plenty of 24/7 ATMs at the airport. May have to go back up the escalators to Departures but I'm pretty sure there are either some directly when you exit Customs (towards the right) or when you go through the Duty Free area continue walking to the left after the "alleyway".

    • I have ING too but thought the exchange rate for ING might be so bad it counts out the atm fee from a Citibank card.

        Say what?

The diff between mastercard/visa will only be in the cents.

        • There’s an ING 2.5% coversion fee

          • @markj: Doing this:

Offer will apply for the next calendar month when you perform the following during the current calendar month:

            • deposit at least $1,000 from an external bank account to any personal ING account in your name (excluding Living Super and Orange One), and

            • also make at least 5 card purchases that are settled (and not at a 'pending status') using your ING debit or credit card (excluding ATM withdrawals, balance enquiries, cash advances and EFTPOS cash out only transactions).

            Gives you this:

100% rebate of ING international transaction fee of 2.5% of the amount of the international transaction
Merchants may charge you a separate fee for their services (which is not rebated under this offer).

            • @Master Bates: Great thanks. Seems ING could be better than Citi in some cases

      • Isn't the Citibank has no ATM fee?

I have used my Citibank card at multiple ATMs with no fees and mastercard rate, best to stick with BCA, Mandiri and BNI. You will be able to find one at the airport with no issues.

My experience with Citibank and travelling…

Large bank ATMs = no fees.
Third-party, random branded ATM = fees.

  • no withdrawal fee charged for international cards in indonesia. at least, from my last experience last year. i used the cimb niaga atm.
