If we’re on a budget, Kogan Tv is quite good.
Bought a 43” 4k HDR use as a pc monitor and tv for plex, work out perfect for my 4k hdr movie collection.
Yeah I think this TV might be my next buy.
But will take me about 3 months maybe to save up maybe 4 if some unforseen expenditures come up.
+5 votesNo way this is proper HDR - brightness only 280 cd/m2. You'll want at least 600+ for decent HDR.
But.. it is dirt cheap for a 4K.
+1 voteWell it takes high brightness nits and a wide colour gamut also if it's LED then you'll need local dimming too otherwise the contrast is poor and won't be able to show the difference in dark and bright highlights. To really see the difference with a proper HDR model its really only the Sony X9000F, Samsung NU8000, QLEDs and OLEDs you'll find the rest are mediocre or bad compared to these. LG, Panasonic, Sony (below 9 series) all use IPS panels so are awful for contrast and brightness. Samsung, Hisense, TCL use VA panels which is at least 3X contrast and brightness than an IPS panel.
