    FREE SHIPPING AAAAAAAAAAAAA STOP

Side note the last big TV i got from Kogan wasnt half bad. Image quality is pretty good for a cheap TV

  • If we’re on a budget, Kogan Tv is quite good.
Bought a 43” 4k HDR use as a pc monitor and tv for plex, work out perfect for my 4k hdr movie collection.

    • Yeah I think this TV might be my next buy.

But will take me about 3 months maybe to save up maybe 4 if some unforseen expenditures come up.

No way this is proper HDR - brightness only 280 cd/m2. You'll want at least 600+ for decent HDR.
But.. it is dirt cheap for a 4K.

    • Is HDR only achievable with high brightness

      • +1

Well it takes high brightness nits and a wide colour gamut also if it's LED then you'll need local dimming too otherwise the contrast is poor and won't be able to show the difference in dark and bright highlights. To really see the difference with a proper HDR model its really only the Sony X9000F, Samsung NU8000, QLEDs and OLEDs you'll find the rest are mediocre or bad compared to these. LG, Panasonic, Sony (below 9 series) all use IPS panels so are awful for contrast and brightness. Samsung, Hisense, TCL use VA panels which is at least 3X contrast and brightness than an IPS panel.

  • does it have smart TV features and/or built in chromecast?

  • is it only series 8 uses LG panel?

got the same tv. it looks great after you tweak the settings.

    • +1

How did you tweak, just out of interest?

      • +5

change brightness, contrast settings, etc. looks fine now and i switch to the default called mild at night time so my eyes dont get raped.

  • Can the TV play video / photo from USB hard disk? I want to use the TV as a photo frame. Thanks

    • it should be able to. but file formats might be limited.

      • Just JPG or MP4

        • should be fine.

      That's one expensive photo frame…
