+9 votesYou could always sell the baby and buy an RTX2080Ti, 32GB of RAM and a 9900k. Seems like a good deal to me.

@UDI: Just like ray-tracing, the baby may be useful later down the track

+1 voteSeriously, they can't come up with an RGB standard soon enough. Every manufacturer having their own controller and software for their RGB is just a pain in the ass. I have 1 low profile cpu fan that is coolermaster, 1 thermaltake RGB PSU and everything else rgb is Corsair. So you can end up with a whole heap of mini controllers for each different brand and no way to sync up all the rgb devices

Even my car has RGB strips on the doors. Yep…one of the reasons why I bought it lol

More like not connecting it.
Got a new Cooler Master case that came with 3 front RGB fans and a 3-1 power cable. Took me half an hour to figure out that it can not be connected to the motherboard/PSU directly. Did some research and found that I need to fork out $39 for a RGB controller. Thanks but no thanks.

Was it thd mb530p? Those fans were obnoxious and ran full speed with the expected connections. I sold my case and just went to a Meshify C and gave up with rgb mess

@scuderiarmani: I got the cheap Master Box Lite version. Maybe I am lucky that I did then. The 4 fans are pretty quiet so far.
I can hear some vibration noise from the front cover though.

@DarkOz: I got fed up with it and a matching AIO CPU cooler, horrible noise.
Now running Fractal with Be Quiet fans and Dark Rock Pro 4 and I can't hear a 2080/9900k system with fans sent to Performance (not even full speed) in desktop use.
+1 voteThis is compatible with aurasync, synapse, icue etc. I think G.SKILL even recommends against using their own software to manage it now.

I've started looking at this the other day to fill out my RAM slots. But I've heard RAM prices are meant to be on the down due to over supply, so don't know how long I want to wait =S

Wait until you see a price that you're willing to pay and won't have second thoughts about even if you see a better deal after you've bought it.

Damn man. RAMs still so expensive. Might have to jump on this!

2x 8 have been consistently dropped to 110 aud lately. So i would wait

Why would you grab this over the F4-3000C15D-16GVRB for $175 (thanks pc part picker) https://www.centrecom.com.au/gskill-16gb-ddr4-3000mhz-ripjaw... ?
+1 voteYou probably wouldn't unless aesthetics matter. If anything, timings on the ones you link are a tad better (15-16-16-35 rather than the OP's 16-18-18-38).
+1 voteIf you want an alternative for $5 cheaper in 2x8gb and flashy blue check out https://www.newegg.com/global/au-en/Product/Product.aspx?Ite...
3000mHz 2x8gb 15-16-16-35 $170.50 delivered
(Note ships from the US, so if warranty is high on your priorities it might pay to get the ones from Aus)
+1 voteI got these for $199.95 from Newegg a while back. This is a good deal for local stock.
Mine overclock like mad, am able to do 3,900mhz at stock timings with a command rate of 1t.
Best part of my current system.

I picked the same set for $155.00 through Newegg with shipping when they has their special on a few months back and posted it to Ozbargin.
I know it isn't local stock, but it always worth looking on Newegg for components which generally are sturdy. On the otherhand I got my motherboardlocally
Cheaper alternative if anybody doesn’t mind the RGB for $140. https://m.newegg.com/global/au-en/product/N82E16820232417?Description=G.skill+aegis+ddr4&cm_re=G.skill_aegis_ddr4--20-232-417--Product
