No, I usually opt for a gen or two behind the latest as only total xyrons would normally buy a new flagship. But as its already at $840, that's not bad. Yes bought mine as new from fleabay for 370 each as s7 battery life had degraded.

      • +4

Understand you want the greatest and latest. But calling someone out for getting a S8 instead of S10 is stupid

Tell me what has changed in your life style that suddenly, a 2 year old phone that was a flagship phone, is no longer usable?.

  • Weird, I've got the offer in my Westpac banking app (not a Westpac employee) but they still require a Westpac employee email, despite stating it's for Westpac customers…

    • same here

    • Are you referring to "upto" 30% off in the offer section list? I doubt that is the same thing.

    • If you use a different browser (without Incognito mode) you'll be able to access the "Westpac Offers" Samsung EPP. However, this is different from WestPac employee offers - so no discount on Mobiles unfortunately. But I think Home Appliances and few other stuff is at 30% off. Might be worth it's own post!

  • Also worth mentioning is this deal ?

    Galaxy Book 12" (128GB, 4G) Telstra variant

Receive 50% off the RRP for a limited time only on the Galaxy Book 12" 4G 2018 model
    SELECT SIZE:
    128GB
    $999.95

    • Yeah I saw this, seems old but decent with AMOLED

    • The Book2 is $279 more on EPP.

Wouldn't touch the Book1 at $999 given how drastic the improvements are with the Book2.

  • What's the condition for purchasing from these stores exactly, do you just need access to an email account from the relevant domain?

    • Some of them require an email.

Others require an authentication code that changes every month or so.

  • It would appear NSW school student emails (ending with @education.nsw.gov.au) will work for the Australian Government portal.
I havn't tried to complete a purchase so YMMV

    • didn't work for me

    • Pretty sure their emails are nsw.edu.au

      • interesting… some of my students definitely have @education.nsw.gov.au emails.
It might not work for this though

        • Weird, I'm in SA and they're all .edu.au

  • any deals for s10 / s10+ ?

  • Aus post staff can't access this unless your management as there is no way to verify email

    • The Aust Post Link above asks for employee email. So if you are a aus post employee that has a employee email, if you sign up with that it should work.

Unless there is a different email domain that management uses which it is only configured to accept that.

      • Staff have an email but there is no way to login to verify the Samsung email

  • +5

my email [email protected] doesn't seem to work.

  • someone should help us buy these amazing deals. Then there are others who with exploit these on gumtree sad to say.

  • Awesome deal for s10e, just purchased. I dont think we will see it that cheap for awhile!

Confirmed that the Australian Government link works for Edumail addresses.

    • edumail?

      I have edu.au didnt work

  • Ugh, so tempted to get the 10e at this price. Was waiting for the Sony xperia 1, but the fact this has a headphone jack and the price… .

I said I'd never go samsung, always sony, but it may be time to change.

    • Sony Xperia 1 is going to be way more expensive than the S10E i'd go with the S10e better support here in Australia and also headphone jack.

      • +2

Done. Got the S10e and the LED front cover. Goodbye Sony.

  • so we must be employee of those corporate partners…. :(

  • Is Australian government restricted to federal or is it any state government agency, etc?

    • +1

I'm state gov and it works for me

    • Working fine for QLD health email addresses

      • Can confirm that @health.qld.gov.au addresses work.

    • +1

If it ends in ".gov.au" it works

    • Tas State, works fine for me

    • NSW Health worked for me

Battery life. As usual Samsung stuffed the battery life. Would have been an insane deal otherwise.

    Can't downgrade from 4000mah to 3100 :(

    • +4

How big of a battery do you think Samsung could have fit in a body the size of the S10e? The iPhone XS also has a 5.8” screen and a 2650mAh battery. The S10e has a 5.8” screen and a smaller body that the XS, but Samsung has squeezed in a 3100mAh battery in. If you watch a tear down of the S10e, there’s absolutely no room to spare internally. Physically, Samsung could not have fit a larger battery to the S10e without making the actual phone bigger.

What phone do you currently have with a 4000mAh battery? I guarantee it’s a lot bigger in size than the S10e.

      • If it's about size then I do agree with you, however personally I've pretty much gotten used to Note 9 sized phones. It's not an issue of any kind for me. I don't mind bulk either.

I have a Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 (it's the same size as a Note 9) and I come back from a full day of Uni (8 am remove charger) to around 7 pm, sometimes even later with around 30-35% remaining. I'm not too heavy of a user, but social communication is almost non stop for me (snap, messenger etc), taking photos, browsing the web etc. I can get upto 8 hours of screen on time!

As you can imagine, going down to a S10E that reviews have said has the worst battery life of the range and doesn't last a full day is a huge downgrade for me. Also I don't understand why you are comparing the iPhone XR to the 10E. The Xr has miles better battery life despite having a smaller battery, as someone said above Mah doesn't mean everything, its how long it lasts, however on Android I've personally found 4000 mah to be my minimum.

It's alright, I'll just wait it out for the Note 9 to drop down to 900 ish.

        • If it's about size then I do agree with you, however personally I've pretty much gotten used to Note 9 sized phones. It's not an issue of any kind for me. I don't mind bulk eithe

You’re comparing phones purely on battery capacity, and ignoring the physical size difference? People buying an S10e don’t want a big phone like a Note 9 or an S10e, size is the reason there’s 3 variants in the S10 lineup.

As you can imagine, going down to a S10E that reviews have said has the worst battery life of the range and doesn't last a full day is a huge downgrade for me.

What a shock. The smallest phone with the smallest battery has less battery life? Actually, there’s battery tests showing th S10e outlasting the S10.

Also I don't understand why you are comparing the iPhone XR to the 10E. The Xr has miles better battery life despite having a smaller battery, as someone said above Mah doesn't mean everything, its how long it lasts, however on Android I've personally found 4000 mah to be my minimum.

Because your first comment complained specifically about the battery capacity, not the battery life. You cannot physically make a smaller phone and jam a giant battery in it. There’s battery drain tests on YouTube showing the S10e outlasting the XR. Why did I compare the XR and the S10e? Because they’re the most obvious phones to compare because Samsung has clearly priced the S10e to target the XR market share, and Samsung fit in a much larger battery into a smaller phone than the XR, showing that your complaint about about there only being a 3100mAh battery in the S10e seems to ignore physics.

If you can figure out how to fit a minimum 4000mAh battery into a phone the size of the S10e, I’m sure Apple or Samsung would hire you in a heartbeat. Smaller phone = smaller battery.

@aja12: LOL Why are you so emotionally affected by this? You need to step outside and get some air dude.

Wishing the cheapest S10 had a larger battery is not a violation against humanity, it has bad battery life, this is fact, might not bother you but it does bother other people, if you cannot understand that and feel the need to attack people, then you should perhaps invest in professional help.

Also you seem to thing the S10E was designed to be small? How do you know this? It was made to be cheap and Samsung cut corners, a smaller battery and smaller screen are money saving measures.

There is no written rule that says your cheapest phone must be the smallest. The Xr is larger then the Xs.

But since this is emotionally affecting you so much I don't expect you to understand. Good day buddy.

    • Don't always look at the battery by mah.
Efficiency of the hardware & software also plays a crucial part in battery life.

Look at Computer Processors, 15years ago they had 2ghz processors, now they still have 2ghz processors, but you cannot say they perform at the same speed due to advances in architecture and construction.

Look at this chart in regards to the battery life across the new phones:
      https://bgr.com/2019/03/13/galaxy-s-10-vs-s10-plus-battery-l…

      S10e performs similar to S10 and S9 and S7.
According to their tests, the S10e with 3100mah performed 15minutes longer than the s10 with 3400mah.

      • One of the best things about Sony compacts was that they had amazing battery life BECAUSE they were smaller. They had lower res screens which didn’t matter in the smaller size, and that one hardware change let them last for days.

        • You can do it on the Samsung phones if you wanted. There is a setting somewhere which allows you to force the resolution to display at a lower one, so that it would save battery.

      • That's great and all but at the end of the day, the S10E with whatever efficiency gains have been seen, will still not last as long as my Redmi Note 5. I've gotten upto 8 hours of screen on time with this. It feels really good to know I can just use my phone without worry and still make it home with charge. The 10E is not one of those phones unfortunately.

While most of the countries got the Android pie for their s8, australia who paid the highest price still waiting for the update. Looks like carriers are stopping in order to tempt the users to upgrade their phones. Shame is that they now even stop the update for unlocked phones to they release it for all three carriers at once… That's like sucking balls samsung

    • I'm literally checking for the update every second day. It's pathetic.

      • I received my update for the note 8 yesterday. It's an excellent update.

        • note 8 got it last month itself, not sure if u check frequently. but yeah glad its bug free update unlike Pixel updates which break features that are most imp

  • Is Galaxy Watch Active part of this too?

    • $279 down from $349.

Had a look at the Active today. I really like it compared to my Galaxy Watch.

      • Nice. Wonder if it will be cheaper if we wait for those 20% off rebel storewide sales, combined with 10% gift cards and the cash back from shopback or cashrewards!! Another $30-$40 difference?

  • wow thats insane prices

  • Great prices. Wonder how many of the OzBargainers works in the above listed companies

I've tried JB and failed. Interested to know if anyone can do it in OW too

  • Guessing if my mate got this for me, that there is no chance of TRS claim?

    • The price is under 1k, you won't need the invoice in your name.

      • Ok thanks for clarifying. I always thought the invoice name had to match the credit card / account name

  • Australian Government employee here, are there any other companies that do this?

    • Check OP,there is list of companies that is doing

      • Referring to any other companies that offer these kinds of partnership programs, not companies that are eligible

  • If you guys are looking at the 20% discount offer for S10/S10+ (SM-G975FCKHXSA/SM-G975FCWHXSA) - this is the message I saw from my Samsung work portal:
"Due to high global demand selected S10 and S10+ models are on Backorder. Please check the shipment date on the item before you make your purchase. Please place a separate order for non-backorder items if you want them to be shipped out immediately."

The 30% discount S10e ones did not have this message (SM-G970FZKAXSA/SM-G970FZWAXSA)

  • Thanks OP.

    1) Have called Samsung, can confirm they said that there is no Woolworths partnership link/portal/store, they don't have a partnership with Woolworths with this promotion.

    2) Called Westpac and Samsun regarding the 'Westpac Banking Offers & Rewards' Samsung offer (up to 30% RRP selected products).

—-> Link doesn't work straight out of App
—-> Link works from the website

However the link directs you to the EPP page for Westpac : https://shop.samsung.com/au/multistore/auepp/westpac_au/logi…

I let them know the issue, being that the offer says it's for customers, however the link says it's only for Westpac employees (asking for the employee email address).

They are aware of it and have escalated the issue. Said to wait 'till Tuesday to call back to see if they have resolved it.

This is the number to call: 1300 137 703 , ask for "Digital".

I'm really hoping they resolve this (potential) false advertising

    • Won't buy one myself despite being Westpac customer & EPP, but thanks for the effort.

    • +1

Actually, I tested the WestPac Offers EPP issue at length and got to the bottom of it after spending an hour or so figuring out.
If you use a different browser (without Incognito mode) you'll be able to access the "Westpac Offers" Samsung EPP page after clicking the link from Rewards and Offers tab of online banking. However, this Offers EPP is different from WestPac employee EPP and has NO discount on Mobiles unfortunately. But I notice some other stuff e.g. Home Appliances are at 30% off.

other option is standard shipping (6-7 days)

  • Black one is out of stock…

    • Black is back, just ordered one

Just bought S10e from my government email ID for 839.30$

    • I want to ask my friend with govt email to buy it for me, can you please let me know where you actually logged in with your email add?

Nice price but I won't ever buy any androids on release at least wait half a year to consider. Prices drop so quick, I regret so fast it's not even funny.

Waiting for Oneplus 7, G8, mate 30 pro or p30 pro by then heh

By then probably Xiaomi and Oneplus caught up with a better phone and cheaper

    • I doubt there would be 30% off in the next 6 months. For grey import, sure.

      • -1

Yup. With quality of Samsung phones. Importing might be better even with GST

I'm shopping this one. No longer a Samsung fan

  • Anyone knows how long will be the warranty period for these phones?

    • 24 Months

  • My relative is a full time employee at Telstra.

Which models are offered at 50% discount and what is the price after discount ?

    • I'm also curious about this. Someone said $675 for S10 in earlier comments. Do they also have the s10e? Can you only buy 1 phone with Telstra discount, or one per model?

  • how do you get the discount for coles Enhanced Partnership?

    • Log in with your Coles email address.

      • the log in for coles partnership is not there, it goes straight to the samsung shop
can some one link me the right link for coles

  • So is the S10+ 128gb model available?

    • -2

      Nope.

  • This or One+6T. Both work out the same after TRS. OOOO Decisions. Dammit. WIth One+7 just round the corner, this is a tough question.

I'd go the S10e if you are happy with a smaller phone.

      • I don't mind the small screen at all! I'm guessing the one plus 7 is at least 4 months away.

        • +1

          Yes, usually May/June.

I have both the S10e and S10+ and I find myself drifting towards the S10e. It’s a fantastic size phone. Can reach the whole screen, has a great 1080p screen and the same main dual cameras and Exynos chip as the bigger phones. For $800 you can’t go wrong (well you could get an S9 for $799!)

          • @11112007: Just ordered mine last night! No looking back!

  • Hey guys, anyone got the delivery notice? I still have nothing except the invoice right after the purchase. I can't check when will it be shipped neither. I bought s10se.

    • I got notice of delivery a few hours after ordering on Friday.

    • I ordered S10e last Thursday night, I received delivery today. It was free express delivery.

      • How are you finding the battery life? I hear that the exynos model we get, is known for bad battery life, compared to the Snapdragon variant.

        • Forums indicate battery is better in the Snap Dragon but seriously - for the everyday day user who would even notice? It's not like a real life person would carry both variants around to compare and even then you could not possibly compare apples with apples. It's all based on isolated tests and benchmarked.

So while I understand and respect your question, I don't think there is a viable answer from any end user.
