So we have 10% off everyday now? LOL

  • +5

They just want to flood this site with their daily 10% offer.

  • +11

Good to see max discount is increasing at least… started at $50. Then $100, now $200.

  • -1

    Oh God, not again…

  • gift card please

  • -4

    FFS.

    • Did you purchase something before this coupon came out?

      • +7

It's too much discount for him to handle.

        • +2

poor guy :( can someone tell him the discount is a joke so he can handle it again

      • +1

        I did!

I was starting to get worried we were not gonna see new eBay coupons anymore. I can go back to sleep now, thanks.

Updated the Gigabyte RTX 2060 for $494.10 deal again!

    • +1

Thanks for updating the original post rather than posting a new deal

  • +7

    $200 discount is better than $100 :)

    • +1

      $300 was better though.
Really never understood why they exclude real Estate, cars, bikes and Boats in these when the discount is capped? Maybe in fear someone forgets to load the discount cap?

      • It could be because those items have fixed fees, so a $100 discount would be a loss to eBay. Whereas with other items the 10% is effectively their fee.

(I've never sold a car on eBay so I'm only guessing)

  • +2

    So pull instead of jack?

    • +1

Some stores pull and some stores jack!

      • As long as it gets the job done i guess.

    • I don't understand those store's logic, why pull when eBay's the one pays for those sitewide sales?

      • Yep from what I understand, these 10% off sales are just eBay waiving their commission which is ~10%.

What it's telling me is eBay must see their sellers are struggling to sell and their commission is hurting sellers competitiveness.

Personally I've found stuff I buy on ebay, if the seller has a website, ordering from their website offers instant 10% savings and usually better shipping rates than their ebay listing.

Can we figure out a way to police/manage this kind of thing? Not only is it the code which is getting spammed to the front page, but also things like that Big W Xbox deal. Not that it's a bad deal, but multiple posts within a couple of days is unnecessary.

It's at a manageable level right now, but if this continues for long enough this site will become eBay spam (or any other sites who realise there's a loophole, and follow suit)

    • +1

u mean in case there are too many good deals posted to OZB?

      • +3

But posting the same deal multiple times isn't 'too many good deals', it's just the same deal over, and over again. It's really important to fight spam on this site.

You're less likely to see the deals, as other deals get buried by multiple posts of the same deal, and if you frequent the front-page more-so than 'new deals', you're less likely to see the deals getting posted multiple times, as their upvotes are being spread across duplicates.

As an example, the Big W deal has been posted 4 times, and hasn't hit the front page yet. It's a fantastic deal, and it's getting spammed for those who frequent new, and not seen for those who check once a day.

Most people are self maintaining their deals and updating the code day-by-day, but can't you see how this will turn into a problem if this is an everyday thing? If eBay kept it up for a whole month, and only 3 deals were to be continuously posted for each code change, that'd be 120 posts in the space of a month, for the same 3 deals + ebay code.

I know people are saying "another day, another 10% code", but this is definitely a deal. If eBay is generous enough to do this, I for one am not complaining! Sure, there are some sellers who are price-jacking in response. Well, their chances of making a sale went down! But look at the various private sellers, especially those with high feedback. There's plenty of great stuff to be had, and now at a reduced price. So if a deal like this comes up, I definitely want to see it on OzBargain.

    • +1

Yeah it's frustrating that the code keeps changing but it's a genuine deal as usually you can find 10% off the best price in market, unlike the 20% ones that are a scam.

    • Yeah, some of OzBargain's best deals come from eBay's sitewide codes (not store specific).

However, if this is becoming the norm, I would like to see some streamlining of the process. Perhaps a section with sitewide eBay codes that auto-update, and in the 'related' section of this, it shows all eBay code deals.

Finding it really hard to navigate the sitewide deals for these codes.

      • +3

eBay should sponsor a small corner of the front page that has their current discount code, % off and expiry. Click it for all the generic information; t&c's, exclusions etc. If they don't offer a current code, then their special little 'ad' doesn't show. OzB gets some $$ and we don't get spammed

    • +2

It's actually been noticeable how much extra I have sold on my eBay account in the last few days. So I can't complain.

  • +3

woooh thanks OP. Picked up a Xiaomi RoboRock S10 Vacuum cleaner for $459 delivered.

  • +3

Make it 15% and I will bite some of the items I've been watching.

  • Now you’re just pulling my leg

  • Can we get the next code to be TA$$10 please

  • There are deals that they show up early morning and i cant get 10% off on them cuz ebay has decided now to issue coupons daily to increase the web traffic of coupon sites or by sending more spam emails to people. it was great that they had a coupon code that would have expired in 2-3days.

  • -1

All these people have a better opinion than the 68 people that upvoted.

  • AH****IT10

  • Just bought one item for 1300 yesterday with 10% off max $100 discount. I'm cringing for the supposedly extra $30 discount had I paid today. Grrrr. :))

  • +1

    Anything extra for ebay plus?

    • -1

You can be arrested for that.

  • +3

I just used the code to buy a $480 product. eBay already had the lowest price, so slicing another $48 on top of that is really nice.

  • eBay loves to pull out

  • S9 for $629.10 after applying the code??

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SAMSUNG-S9-S9-Plus-SMG960-SMG965…

    • is this aus stock?

      • I have no idea, will it be an issue if its not??

        • Warranty issues? Looks like the seller offers 90 day warranty so possible grey import?

  • OP you may want to update your post as Car & Truck Parts (6030) is also an excluded category as per the T&C's (unlike the other discount codes from the last few days)

  • +1

What's going on some1 beat TA being OP to a Ebay deal :)

  • -1

Why are car parts always excluded? Serious question

  • tomorrow 150/300

  • keep getting "Code cannot be applied to order", not buying any of the exclusions
Happened with yesterdays code too … any ideas why ? (Buying a mattress)

    • I'm having the same problem!

I'm trying to buy a toothbrush, it's just a smaller seller as well…

I seem to have some "targeted" coupon and I'm wondering if that's overriding anything else (not trying to apply the coupon, just eBay suggests I use it)

    • i'm getting an error too

"This code can't be applied to some of your items."

    • Found out my errot

Apparently I was registered as a US user (even tho all my registered address in my profile was Aus)

Contacted ebay via their chat and they fixed it for me within a minute

  • when does this deal end?

  • I tried to buy blender for $125 + $10 delivery on Ebay, appied the voucher code it keeps saying "Code cannot be applied to order". any idea? I think it is a small supplier not under Cars, Bikes, Boats (9800), Coins (11116), Gift Cards (184609), Other Lots More Items (88433), Real Estate (10542); and

All items sold by the following Sellers:
    * Bunnings Warehouse
    * Fantastic Furniture
    * Coles Supermarkets
    * Officeworks
    * Target

    • If you have set your account to a different country to take advantage of a promotion and you haven't set it back to Australia the code won't work.

      • Oh shit that might be it!

I think I switched it to UK at one point but can't find where I did it…

        • Yep same happened to me. I contacted ebay through their chat and they fixed it for me within a minute

  • This deal has an expiry of today at 11pm. Can anyone confirm this? I cannot see an end date in the terms.

I am trying to get measurements for a purchase but might not be able to get them until tomorrow!

    • Found it. Definitely expires today :/

  • It looks like they've stopped now :(

Was hoping these would stay daily for a while. Hoping to win an auction shortly, hahaha

    • +1

      Code : PROUD Still working

      • Thanks, not sure if that will work on a 2nd hand auction?
