Checked the epic store only to find this game listed as free, was not logged in so I don't think it's user specific.
"Purchased" the game (for the free price) on the epic launcher as it would not work on the site and got a log of the "Purchase" in my purchase history for this game, as $0.00 just like the other free games.
I have no idea if this is a bug or not.
I got it but the epic games launcher shows it as 'Unavailable'. Not sure what that means.. probably a bug but who knows?

A few Quantic Dream games are being ported to PC with Epic Games taking initial exclusivity. This is likely an error listing and might be removed.
Or, it's intentional as another sneaky Epic Games move to get people to sign up to their service then sending an 'apology' for the 'error' and 5% off voucher code…
Call me cynical but no respect for Epic Games after the crap they pulled off with Metro Exodus.

I would say maybe it's supposed to be for consoles, but there's no way to download from the epic games store on consoles.

You have to do it on the epic launcher (the app) otherwise it won't work, no idea why.
I did it from the browser .. don't have launcher installed.

For those who received the unavailable error, check your Library. Mine's been loaded there, albeit with the unavailable tag across it.

Never once seen Steam do that at all.
Well steam did do it, people got to play the game free for two weeks, got a sob story how the small studio couldn't survive giving it's games away for free. Forgot the game some isometric turn based game.
they probably should do something like that and turn steam into a Gamepass like service, $10 a month subscription and you get access to loads of cool games and $10 steam credit per month in return.

But on the website it says "Install"
so it's like half owned but you can't download it.

Thanks for the downvote… Pretty unnecessary as I'm just commenting on my experience of having the game removed from my account. The price stated Free on the Epic store page. A consumer is going to assume it's free. Epic do give away games every 2 weeks. There's also no communication from Epic confirming it's a bug. Then the game is removed. It's disappointing.

I never used the client launcher at all, got it from my browser. Not sure about my library (seriously can we even check that without the launcher..?) but from the account page it's still there as a completed 'purchase' under payment history.
The store page still has 'install' as an option rather than 'coming soon' also.
Guess we'll see what actually happens in the future.
