    .
Vacuum cleaner $1,159 …are you sure this is a bargain ?

    • This. Dyson can get stuffed.

@Dyson: Back to $999 or less thankyou (and that's still being rather generous)

      • It will eventually be on a 20% off sitewide ebay deal and you'll get it for $999 or below.

  • +1

That Dyson increases their price every model ….wth. They have no sign of trying to keep new model same price as last year model as mobile phone. Although they are not 1 new model every 1 year

    • People vote with their wallet and apparently enough people were happy paying the price

Edit: Does seem to come with more attachments?

    • +1

They have no sign of trying to keep new model same price as last year model as mobile phone.

      Heard of iPhone ?

    • Phones go up in price too you know.

      • "trying to keep" the phone companies at least trying to keep at least to have 1 of the new line phones (s10e, s10, s10 plus) same price and the other higher price. But least they showed us that they tried.

        • Price creep has become a reality, aside from cars.

Things go up in price because people continue to buy them. Dyson has a built a business model on a new stick vac coming out every year, and everyone keeps wanting the new one.

Not much of a "Real Deal" here.

EDIT: For anyone actually considering this offer, dont. The RRP is $1199. You can get about the same price as this so called deal by simply using 3.3% Cashrewards at the Good Guys. Wait for a decent 10% sitewide or 20% seller specific discount code on Ebay and you will get a significantly better deal.

    • +1

agree. even discounted egifts from Myer or DJs will beat this post.

      no deal. move on.

  • +1

I thought this was very expensive and then I went to Myer and saw several robot vacuums at over $1500.

    Where's there's dust, there's brass…obviously.

  • Does anyone think V10 will go on big sales under $500 this year? I am looking to buy one

    • +2

      No

    • It took a while before the V8 reached roughly $500, and thats only on extremely good sales. It would take at least another year or two before the V10 pricing starts to enter the same region as current V8 pricing.

It will likely happen when the V11 is on the cusp of being replaced (with I assume the V12).

      • v6 aint getting any lower these days

i remember there was once a while v6 gets around $250 during ebay 20% , but not anymore

        • True, a good 20% Ebay code was always the best way to get some extremely good deals. Unfortunately I think those days are over :-(

  • I am also on the watch for a couple of deals on either V8 Carbon, or V10, budget around $500

  • +1

This is obviously where i talk about my 2-in-1 Corded Stick Vacuum with HEPA Filter for $29.00 at Kmart.

But being even more serious, who beyond Kim Kardashian pays this much for a vacuum cleaner?

    • people that want to be like Kim Kardashian and think vocal fry is classy

    • easy to empty ?

      • Very easy - filter accessible with a twist, but it's not big (and doesn't need to be).
Extension handle is easy on the back.
Pretty powerful for a small item.

One of the best buys i've made and good reviews online if you could be bothered checking.

        • does it replace the usual 2400w bagged barrel vac totally?

          thanks.

          • @dcep: It's pretty good but it's not going to tear a hole in your carpet from the suction.

I use this a lot as it's quick and easy to use and only occasionally will i use the overpriced beast.

          • @dcep: You can get an hour out of it, so yes.

  • Wata rip

  • is there a reasonably priced alternative that poor people can afford and also reliable ?

  • Dyson V10 vs. V11: What’s New
The Dyson V11 has an LED screen that displays battery life, cleaning modes, and remaining cleaning time available. (Torque Drive sub-model only)
The advanced V11 motor offers 20% more cleaning power over the Dyson V10 motor.
The V11 automatically adjusts to different floor types (thanks to the Dynamic Load Sensor) that has the intelligence to control motor position 360 times a second

    • Not worth $1199 then.

      LCD screen is totally unnecessary.
V10 has enough guts (you can argue whether battery life is good enough to use it I suppose)
It's not that hard to change the attachment between carpet/hard floors.

Dyson have overpriced this. Get stuffed. They needed to keep the price level the same as V10 series.

      • The LCD and auto sensing are not essential. You can just manually tone it down on a hard floor and turn it up on carpet.

The real improvement is greater suction and airflow on top of longer battery life. That's impressive. I feel gutted at buying a V10 only a couple weeks before this one became available.

I haven't even unboxed it yet. Just received the free Dok today.

  • lost the plot a little here

  • 10 vs 11 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oMj2olqmH8A

but ill stick to my V6 barebone 220$ version.

  • auto pilot vacuum ?

  • Upcoming V12 will be priced at $1559 and V13 will be $2059 for Christmas special.

    • Buy 1 get second one 15% off ebay deal?

    • I know you're making it up, but Dyson can go die in a corner if this ends up being close to reality.

I feel like Apple started this "let's try and take the piss with a price rise" crap.

      • All the big players do it now. That Samsung S10 fold is $4000. For a phone. You’d think it would have some kind of high tech flesh light in it for that money lol
