ANA Sydney-Tokyo - November Cheapest Price?

Currently looking and planning for a trip to Japan and I really want to try flying with ANA Airline.

According to skyscanner, it gives me the price of $1,066 return using ANA for period: 16 Nov - 4 Dec.

Do you guys think it's cheap enough to secure the ticket now? Or does anyone ever see cheaper price than that during November?

Really want to visit Japan in Autumn, I heard it's beautiful!

First rule of OzBargain is no brand loyalty. :p November is low season $500ish territory on Jetstar sale.

haha thanks, not about brand loyalty at all…I have never even flied with ANA yet :p. I just heard great things about ANA so I'm really keen to try it…I don't have that luxury to travel often too!

I guess if Jetstar price can be around $500ish, the price could still go down too for ANA.

      • Apparently their business class is very good, but if you are flying economy isn't it all much of a muchness (excluding Jetstar, etc)?

      • hard pressed for ANA to go that low but take into consideration the ticket price - direct vs 1 stop

for me in the past….no issues paying less
for me the time now, extra couple of hundred is worth not having to stop over in QLD

first two weeks of November is better for Autumn Colours (it was in 2018). Hanami has been a bit off the expected schedule this year, so you could be right with your dates.

$500 return is best price, not with ANA.

    • Great thanks, at least I have my dates correct!

I am on the far west side of Japan, in Kyushu. It does happen at different stages over a 2 week period across Japan.
Koyo is the Japanese name for the Autumn colours. Have a good time, and be mindful of the world cup 2019 dates in Japan for booking hotels etc.

Save money on plane tickets, fly with the cheapest provider that's semi-comfortable and has a good flight time, and spend it on food and activities instead.

$500 saved on flights is a two week rail pass, or a week of accommodation (or more if you're hostelling), or a bunch of great meals, etc etc.

You won't remember the flight there and back but you will remember the trip itself.
