GODIVA Chocolate 40% off - Cookies and Truffles

Stumbled upon their competition the other day. See they're discounting some product too. I stumbled upon the brand in Hamburg a month ago and reckon it nudges Haigh's off the perch for me. Though, I can't resist Haigh's dark choc freckles.

The Haighs Chocolate hazelnuts were my downfall. Got onto the Godiva stuff at an outlet place in Hawaii - pretty good choccies. Personally my current favourites are KoKo Blacks but they are expensive.

I am so tempted but the disclaimer says "As these products are nearing the end of their life, they may not be ideal for gifting" so I have a feeling I will buy the full price one as if i'm already splurging why not have the full experience…

Anyone try Godiva? Are they exceptionally good? I was a big fan of Ecuadorian chocolate thins from Max Brenner, and also Koko Black's honeycomb so am very interested in Godiva.

There is a Godiva outlet in the Melbourne Emporium. You could drop in and try some choccies or a hot chocolate to see what you think.

I know, I think I will have to give it a shot! :) Then off to LuxBite for my fav cake, the Lollybag Cake from Masterchef…

          Sounds worth an investigation.

Me, I like Babka's chocolate cake with lashings of cream.

I know it is a bit "downmarket" but the Sara Lee deep dish chocolate pudding is pretty good, especially if it is on special. The beauty is you can cut off a little bit and heat it up without having to eat the entire thing.

What are your recommendations on hot chocolates. My current ones are:-
          KoKo Blacks
Chez Dre - near South Melbourne market
          Lune Croissants.

@try2bhelpful: I have to say I don't have a real preference for hot chocolate, they are very similar to me and all winners :)

You know in regards to the Sara Lee chocolate pudding though, and any supermarket desserts. I love them, but because I can buy them for a few $ for a big pack I avoid it because I am pretty large and I will 100% eat the whole cake, never just a little. Cadbury blocks have become like bars to me, and that Deep Disk Pudding is a single serve during MAFS :)

@mwalks: Lol, particularly teamed with MAFS. The beauty of a frozen dessert is you can cut off a smaller piece, but I know what your talking about. My view is I try to go rich and small.

@try2bhelpful: Lune!!! Oh, don't! I'm trying to be good and it's walking distance from my office!!!

It's starting to cost me a small fortune jetting off to Hamburg for truffle hunts, just to get the Duty Free chocolate…
