    • Coupon seems to be marked as expired as well.

    • It shows USD.

Very tempting… but I need to save my pennies.

    • +12

I read that as penis. Somehow…it still made sense!

  • +1

WOW 20,000Pa? Can't see why they didn't go with 2.9 psi though.

    • Because 2.9 psi could be absolute or gauge. It's ambiguous.

Pascal is used to show the pressure difference that the vacuum can make.

      • No, psig is for gauge, pag likewise. There's no special unit for differential pressure, it's just delta P

        • There's no special unit for differential pressure, it's just delta P

I know. That's why I said psi is ambiguous.

  • Nice deal! Hi Gearbite, any deal plan for xiaomi robot vacuum (roborock s50)?

    I got the dyson v7 for 349
Don’t understand why people would buy this over dyson
Dyson warranty is fantastic as well. I emailed them that my unit wasn’t charging and they posted me new charger and charge head within a day

    • +3

V7 has bettery problems often. You're lucky it's in your warranty period.
This is better than V7 & cheaper.
      Take your pick.

Xiaomi make excellent household products, don't knock it until you try it.
I don't have this vacuum but I have Xiaomi products all around my house and both my wife and I are super pleased with every single one of them.

@Dyson May be nice whilst in warranty but they aren’t well built units.

I have an older Dyson model and the battery dies every 2 years, the charger cable stopped working as well. The brush head clogs up with hair and stops working.

This is why I now don’t spend more than $300 on a cordless vacuum. Reports on all the other Dyson models including the V10 shows the battery dies after 2 years.

You couldn't be more wrong about dyson service, will never buy another one

  • Tempted to replace my Dyson DC29 which I've hated since I got it and clutters my floor…anyone swapped from a Dyson to one of these?

    • if you read the comments further up a couple already responded

    Purchased. Thanks!

  • do these have an option to use it without having to pull trigger or a hold trigger option? wanting to get a cordless for my mother who is a senior and would rather a cordless that has option to not have to hold trigger to use.

Not sure if this is the exact one I saw, but something like this should do the trick

    • No, gotta hold it down. Button is similar to the old dc35 so bit of effort needed. V10 requires very little effort to hold down.

  • In the interest of safety. Is the power pack compliant?

Dyson has 2 year warranty so it’s guaranteed to last longer than this.

    • +1

      Not it doesn’t.

A warranty is the period the manufacturer will cover defects without cost. You could have a 10 year warranty and it won’t stop it from being unreliable.

      • -2

If manufacturers can offer longer than the standard 12 months warranty then it indicates they are more confident on their product than their competitors,

Definitely 2 years warranty so stop the lies

        • -1

I think you don’t understand the difference between warranty for defects and longevity for product. “Stop the lies” is an, unwarranted, very petty statement.

          • -2

@try2bhelpful: If you can get pass your arrogance for a moment and listen you will understand the simple truth that there is in general a link between warranty and longevity. A product with a 2 year product will most likely out last say a product with 3-6 months warranty. It is a reflection of quality. Of course there will be exceptions but it is not the rule. So stop the lies

            • -1

@MuddyClear: That is not, necessarily, true and if you stepped back you would see who is being arrogant; however you are amusing. “Stop the lies” is a three word slogan that is completely nonsensical in this instance.

              • -1

@try2bhelpful: Simply saying “that is not” is not sufficient to disprove anything. At this point I don’t believe you know what you’re arguing about. So far everything you have said is complete nonsense, and you’re clearly just trolling - Just stop the lies.

    • It's guaranteed against defects for 2 years; there is a difference to guaranteed to last longer than this.

I have Dyson V6 Absolute and this one. Both are nice vacuums but Suction is stronger in Xiaomi but Cleaning Head feels much better design with Dyson. Battery life is longer with Xiaomi.

  • +1

I have one of these and they are fantastic. I had a Dyson V6 before and it was nowhere near as good. I don't know how a V8/V10 compares.

  • Bought one.

    Hope the battery lasts.

  • Any opinions on this vs the kogan t8?

  • By the way, are replacement vacuum heads available?

    • Yes, it will availble in 2 months time.

      • +2

Its may now, whens that carpet head coming?

  • I have a question. Is the dreams v9 the same as Jimmy JV51? I was looking at that and was wondering if it's the same.

  • Pulled the trigger , bought it .

  • +1

After the Ebay Dyson V8 carbon debacle, and now the 2nd time the battery on my V6 has died (this time the replacement battery maybe just on 12 months), I'm going to give this a try. Thanks for the post!

  • Any option for extended warranty? How much replacement battery cost otherwise? Thanks,

  • +1

There are three questions that haven't been answered that are preventing me from pulling the trigger:
    1. How much are spare battery packs? Are these even sold separately?
    2. What is the pa suction raiting per setting, eg. strong mode = 20,000 pa, what is standard mode and energy saver?
    3. What other accessories are available for purchase? I would prefer a dedicated hardwood floor attachment rather than using a roller.
