Went to Adelaide zoo and it was free entry for my wife for mother’s day!

Free Entry for mums limited to one single adult ticket, & Must be accompanied by a full paying adult or child.

It's not the same, but Mum's can also visit the Perth Zoo in WA for free today as well. :)
Not sure about Perth Zoo in SA though.
Apparently Perth is free with no strings attached.

Some other zoos are free only with purchase of a full price ticket.
It's only with full price ticket purchase, so your mum can't walk in by herself.
