expired 8x28-Days of amaysim Unlimited 1GB Mobile Plan $8.46 @ Groupon

1080
GOOD15

Edit: This deal was supposed to be only valid for one day (18th May 2019), but I still could make a purchase with the code GOOD15 this morning (19th May 2019). So just give it a try, maybe you still can make the deal.

$8.46 for EIGHT 28-day renewals of AmaySim unlimited with 1Gb per 28-days mobile plan

● Get 1Gb every 28 days for each of the eight renewals
● Unlimited standard calls, texts and voicemails in Australia
● No lock-in contracts
● Keep existing mobile number or get a new one
● BYO mobile
● All AmaySim plans are powered by Optus 4G Plus network
● Price includes standard delivery of SIM card
● Redeem before 21st June 2019

By the way, you could try to link Shopback or Cashrewards with this purchase. You might get a few percent back.

Edit: I just received an email from Shopback that they've transferred $0.59 to my Shopback account. So it means $8.46 - $0.59 = $7.87 I paid for the last 8x28-days AmaySim deal. :-)

Bought two last nite for 19.90 plus cash rewards of 92 cents I think it was.. could have saved around 3 bucks..lol ..thanks for the posting though, might help others.

This is a good price but a heads up, Optus does not provide delivery report for your text messages. So if you use SMS its better to keep an eye for a Telstra or Vodafone deal

It will eventually come down to half price ($5)as with all these mobile plan deals if you can bother waiting a week or so

    •

Wow! You're saying it will go down to about 50c per month?

      • +2 votes

Yes. Look at the trend of other mobile deals.

Amaysim always goes to 50% off towards the end of the deal

Also the vaya has gone to 50% off and a previous kogan deal went to 50% off.

So I'm pretty confident that this deal will go half price in the near future

  •

    damn $1 per month,

    thats cheeeeeeapppp

  •

    Thanks for the post.
Does anyone know if you can cancel auto renewal after just signing up and the 8x28 days will still be valid?
    Thanks

  •

Does anyone know if I can use this on my existing plan? Like, I already pay the ordinary $10 per month with amaysim, can I just jam this in without getting a new number?

  •

Valid for new Amaysim customers only.

  •

Also how do you use the %15 off code?

  •

So I transferred to vodafone maybe a year ago. I can transfer back?

    •

Yes if you're prepaid, with postpaid you may have contractual obligations to Vodafone but yes if you don't.

    •

      sunnyc
Yes. But you need to use a new email to create new Amaysim account to qualify as new customer.

      •

I did not use a new email and using the old email which was registered with Amaysim last time. I am counted as a new customer. New customer is defined as totally new signups and return amaysim customers. So you can still use your last email address.

    •

I thought you were excommunicado ?. It'll cost you a finger.

  •

Anyone know, if you port a mobile number from an old accouht that expired months ago, and it is knocked back. Would you generally get a second chance activating with a random number?

    •

You can use a new number or your ported number. In both case you will be considered as a new customer.

I'm so cheap I'm going to wait for half price $5.

    Closer, closer…

  •

I am already with amaysim with current plan expiring on June 5. How can I get this deal?

    • +2 votes

Port out to Telstra and then port back in using a different email address (all other details can remain the same). Order the Telstra sim online for free (from the Telstra website). Then buy a $2 Amaysim Starter SIM from the supermarket. When you have both SIMs, port your number to Telstra (you do not need to recharge your service at the time of activation). Then as soon as you are with Telstra, go on Amaysim Live Chat (use a different email address to the one you previously used with Amaysim) and say you want to port to Amaysim with the Groupon voucher you have and want to activate it with the SIM you just bought. They will guide you through the process and in a short time you will be back with Amaysim.

    Not time yet…

  •

So i've redeemed but I am still unsure how the 8x renewal works.
Do they post to me 8 voucher codes?

  •

this is a better deal than my aldi 365 day $15 load

  •

Just noticed the 1GB may not be capped "Excess data charged at $10/1GB ". Can anyone confirm if its possible to disable excess data?

    •

Hey Gravy. If you are using any Android mobiles, you could set the limit to 1Gb. But if you are using an Apple mobile, then it's so far no way to limit it unfortunately.

      •

The text at their site is a little unclear as to what will happen if you go over the limit as it depends on whether this offer is classed as prepaid or post paid (which is it?). If it's post paid they add it automatically, prepaid 1GB accounts seem to need to have extra data manually activated though.

        •

It is prepaid so no need to worry. When you use the 1GB allowance your mobile data will be cut off. You will then need to go to your account and buy a data pack to continue using data.

  •

I'm currently with amaysim that runs out on the 10th of june, can I just buy this with a new number instead of doing that porting method?

    •

Yes this is possible. Just select new number and use a new email address when signing up. Alternatively you can easily port out and port back in again and keep your existing number. Porting out to Telstra is free (get free sim from their website) and the process can take less than 3 hours total from the first port out to being active again with Amaysim.

  •

    purchased the kogan one.
but still not receive the sim for almost 20 days.

  •

just purchased. Does anyone know if I can just go to Coles and get an Amaysim sim for $2, then go online and activate it with the groupon code? I need it ASAP and don't want to wait for SIM to come in post.

    •

Yes. After you buy it, go on live chat and they will activate it for you straight away. Just let them know that you what to activate it with the Groupon voucher.
