  • Out of three shakes I had while this promo was on, only one tasted properly like chocolate. Two were borderline tasteless. Why is there such variation in something that comes out of a machine?

    • When the syrup bottles are changed they need to be primed in order to ensure consistency. This is why you may notice whites (pure shake mix) in the shake instead of the chocolate brownish colour.

Raspberry and custard pie is my new favourite food. Love em!

  • Chicken mcbites 10 pc $2?

    • Strike that, tried them now. Tiny and greasy. Not worth the $2

  • Large fries offer not showing up in my app.

Edit: But if you add it as a normal item it will show up as $1.

  • For the $1 large fries promotion, even though it says between 10:30am - midnight you can use the app to order them anytime. During the breakfast menu the fries are full priced however if you change to the regular menu (in the app) you can get around this and still get the $1 large fries at breakfast :)

    • I tried ordering via the app at 12.30 the other morning and it wanted the regular $3.40 price. Changing the menu didn't have any effect.
      Any ideas?

      • It's 12.20am currently and still showing as $1 for me (annerly qld). What store are you ordering from I'll change my location to see if its maybe just that store/area?

        • Kangaroo Point. At 12.15 when I was leaving work it came up as $1 but when I went to order on the app at 12.30 it came up as $3.45.

Weird, I just opened it up now and I can order $1 fries at Springwood (my closest store).

  • EDIT - duh, got June mixed up with July

Tried multiple MacDonald around Parramatta but no special price on fries. Has anyone experienced problem getting $1 fries?

    • Me just now in regional NSW, won’t come up in the app.

      • I’ve been to two in last week and comes up @ $1

It was working as recently as Friday, but not today.

          • @bern1992: Ok I last used mine yesterday no probs

  • I thought the $1 fries didn’t require the app. Was just charged $3.40 for a large fries. Was I ripped off?

    • i ordered the large fries a couple of Saturdays ago via the kiosk. but it only showed me the $1 price when i wanted to check out.

edit: nvm, employee confirmed below it ended yesterday

Can confirm that $1 Large Fries has ended early on the 7th of July, 2019 at 11:59:59pm. Not sure why, but I believe all restaurants were making too much of a loss.

      sad. so sad :(

    • Thanks for confirming

    • We worked it out in the past that even at $1 ea macas couldnt lose money, unless it tankdd other sales

  • 19/6 - 16/7 $1 Large Fries(files.ozbargain.com.au

Tried to order it tonight but the app just spazzes out

Why did it end before the 16th?

Edit: man that sucks. Idk how maccas would make a loss it's like 8 cents worth lol

HJ $2 fries it is :(

I think it's more making losses due to missing out on the sales of more expensive items. For example, someone that normally buys a large big mac meal decides that 2 large fries would suffice instead for $2

      • Dude if someone goes to the suffering of replacing meat, lettuce and drink - then let them have the 2 pockets of fried potato! lol
