        I just signed up with JB on the 65 dollar plan and managed to switch to the 49 plan while talking to the CS. The plan is 59 and in the contract it says 49. So I guess it’s still on. I screenshot the contract so if they charge me 59 I have something to back it up.

        I tried to get more credits $$ but no avail, also can't get the $70 shopback credit because I had to sign up manually :(

  • Is anyone able to see their $20 discount reflected somewhere on their account (online or in-app)? Mine just says ‘$69’ everywhere.

    • Not on the account as such, but in the plan details email. Displayed as two sets of $10 discounts

      • Thanks but not for me. The body of the ‘plan details’. email doesn’t mention pricing and the attached PDF looks like a standard (non-personalised) overview of the 3 BYO plans available and their inclusions.

        • I got that email too. Changes and details can take up to 24 hours to show on your account. How many emails did you get?

          • @Romen: I only got one email so far (after changing plan) but managed to get live chat to put the discount in writing for me in an email so all good now! Thanks.

    • You can use the order tracker
      You would have received an order number put that into the Telstra order tracker and you can see the $10 discount twice.

    Not the deals over the everyday price is actually 59 with a discount of 10

    So we all thought we were getting a good deal when infact Telstra was just price jacking ? ?

    Did I miss out? How often does deals like this from Telstra? Just notice my Optus contract expired and found this expired deal :(

  • I changed to this plan few days ago when it was still active via 24/7 chat and managed to get it down to $39 (rep said as im a very loyal customer they would apply it). My plan and everything has changed (got text along with app updated to new plan) but i never got any change of plan email…/order estimate. Has anybody else changed plans and not received an email? I have a copy of the chat transcript so ill have to follow up if the bill doesnt reflect the promised $39

    • Open up another chat, and ask what discounts are on your plan. You will find out.

          In fact they removed my customer loyalty discount and told me it was cancelled on this.

    • Never knew there is loyal customer reward. The impression I have is loyal customers stay in their expensive old plan. $39 is very good.

      I did not get any email other than transcript with the order number.

      • Got all my services with telstra - when i recontracted my home/cable/foxtel two years ago i got a pretty sweet deal by talking to their disconnection team. Doesn’t hurt to ask! :)

  • I was able to get the $49 price after it was expired twice. I don't understand why others couldn't get it

  • Is there anyway to transfer this plan/ownership to someone else so they can port in and keep their own number?

    • You can do a transfer of ownership BUT, I don't think they can port a number.

      The number will be the existing number that's contracted.

      Google Telstra transfer not ownership.

        I took this plan with the discounted Huawei but as things have changed I don't really need the plan anymore.

        If anyone was interested in possibly taking over this number (new number which I've never used) please do PM, or will list in classifieds soon…

    • I was advised on chat that you can transfer numbers between plans within the same account. I am in the midst of this process right now. I was blocked at JB porting my number from Voda, so I signed up with a new number. I was told I can port my existing number into the same account on a $49 casual sim only plan. Once that is done they can switch the numbers and then cancel the casual plan.
      What ever you do don’t port your number in onto a prepaid.

  • Hi all,
    Just got an email from Telstra. Subject contains Firstname, "important information about your plans"
    In the guts of the email, it states a $10 bonus rather than a $20 bonus.
    After an hour on online chat, they said they'd corrected it but then when asked why it happened, they said that the intial order was correct and that the $20 applied and that no changes made to the account.

    You might want to ensure you keep your chat transcripts and initial contracts REALLY close.
