    Great pricing on the OLED's!

    • What are you smoking?

You can nearly buy two LG or 3 Hisense 55" Oled's for the same price as the Sony. Sony have priced themselves out of the market.

  • -1

Wait for C9 or pull trigger on A9F?

    • +5

A9F is already outdated and replaced by A9G. By end of the year, A9F will be same price as A8F currently.

      • I’m awaiting the A9G but it won’t be release by Sony Australia until July/August.

        • -1

I'm in no rush so I may wait until C9 has a competitor.

That should also help the price.

    • -7

Isn't that obvious! Apart from sound the C8 beats the Sony in every category and with sound you'd be stupid not to buy a soundbar and subwoofer anyway. The C9 will pummel the A9F. The Sony pricing is embarrassing and will lead to them pulling out of the OLED market which is a shame and bad for competition

      • -5

There was only three players meaning there was precious little competition to begin with. Why are you bitching about Sony's prices in the first place if competition works?

There is a moronic theory preached by neoliberals that competition lowers prices when we are surrounded by cases of this failing to happen. The theory is for idiots being led around by the owner class.

        The "free market" doesn't exist.

What actually exists is people with things to sell who attempt to rig everything in their own favour.

        • First year sociology major?

  • +9

Lackluster sale. They could have used prices from Sony Sessions.

    • +1

I guess they couldn't find any older cameras.

      • They put all their eggs in one basket at Sony Sessions and expected the attendees to feel a sense of urgency to buy buy buy. Fail fail fail.

        A7R III was around $2900, A7 III was $2000ish.

  • https://store.sony.com.au/hifisystem/MHCV90DW.html#start=1 Costco have it for about $899 so great deal OP. Supposedly when I did guest checkout it was saying $11 for delivery. Might depend on where you are.

Need a good price on a 65 inch!

  • +4

If only they started a few days earlier before AMEX cashback ended.

    • Yeah just ended on 17 May :(

  • +7

Learnt my lesson last year.. took 12 weeks to receieve my click frenzy purchase from Sony!

  • +2

Great effort. Thanks TA. +1. How can you not!

    • Thanks for the thanks :)

      • +1

Thanks for the thanks for the thanks!

Anyone have any feedback on the 70" x83F?

    • Looks to be one hell of a buy if the picture quality is up to scratch.

    • +1

I was sold on that one, till it sold out….

  • These guys screwed everyone around on the last Offer. Even the Cashrewards rep said they were useless.

    • +3

That's a pretty wild accusation. I'm the Cashrewards rep. Care to elaborate on what I said?

      • +1

I don’t have the message still

You tell me you cannot remember when hundreds of members purchased stock via the Cashrewards offer and they cancelled what appears was half the orders.

It’s not your fault. I hope you don’t associate with them again for giving you guys the runaround.

        • +16

Come on, there would have been a massive outcry if hundreds of orders were cancelled. There were thousands of successful purchases from the last frenzy campaign and a very a small number reported issues, which I personally tried to help with here by contacting Sony on their behalf. All I can do is apologise for your bad experience.

          • +5

@tightarse: can vouch for TA - helped me with a CR issue/another site

    • +2

I had similar issue with CR on the last Sony promotion, they denied by cashback because it was during a promotion period like these.

      • +1

I got 2% ($100) cashback on A8F on its website price of 4999. Actually paid 2999 with the discount code.

  • Hi! Will TGG or Jbhifi match the price? Id like to pick up
    Thanks

  • +5

    Aww, no KD75X9500G :(

  • Anyone have experience with those $15 in ear earphones? Looking for a hang for buck pair for work.

    • +2

I have owned 5 pairs (currently still have 3) and for that price they are an absolute steal. I have lost the other 2 pairs which is completely my fault.

Good fit, decent ambient noise attenuation, good microphone for calls, well balanced sound, decent bass and very compact so fits right in the ear (have used them while sleeping on my side in noisy environments). Only downside is that the remote can only pause or skip music or answer calls, no volume control, but at this price that's expected.

I have also, accidentally, put them through the washing machine on a number of occasions and they still work perfectly.

I'm loading up a lifetime supply!

      • thanks, bought one! hope it is good as you said.

  • Is the KDL43W660F an android TV OS? An isp panel or va? Can't find any info in the specs anywhere.

    • +1

It's not android TV and its IPS. Basic TV has been cheaper via eBay at $560 delivered via PHONO

      • Thanks, found it late last night so didn't pull the trigger. Decent, reasonably priced 43" TV's are hard to find. For a bedroom and don't want to go any bigger.

  • +7

Where is the sony 1000xm3 deal?

  • +2

Cheers, tightarse! Been sizing up the OLEDs for a while now. These prices, and the $14 delivery.. would've been mad to pass it up.

I went into JB Hi-Fi a weekend or so ago, and looked at their 'extra costs' sheet, which had the delivery, installation, etc costs… $14 delivery to my place is a steal.

    • -4

just lol if u buy a9f at that price

      • Show me where it's cheaper.

        • -3

lol @ buying a $10000 item that's worth $100 just because its on sale for $1000

      • -2

Agree. Buy two LG or 3 Hisense or pocket alot of $$$ for the price of one Sony.

The LG is on par too (not sure about the Hisense).

One can say "Show me where it's cheaper" all you like, but you'd be a numpty to buy the Sony.

review for the x8300 if anyone is interested…

can this be picked up instore?

  • no mdrz7m2 deals

  • Any good prices guys ?

    Nothing has fallen .

  • +3

Cant afford an other 65" oled mate (for now), but ripper prices on the A9's :)

  • Do they still stock the 85 inch TV?

  • MDREX155APB EX155AP In-Ear Headphones (Black) are sold out :(

  • 70 inch model KD70X8300F is gone, ‘replaced’ by the 55 inch model says the Sony website.

    • i was halfway through ordering one

  • um I am not seeing the special prices when I click thru the links?

    What am I doing wrong?

  • +1

I purchased the 70” at 7:11pm (using the TA-FRENZY promo code), got confirmation email and everything but when I checked my bank statement, I have been charged the higher price which didn’t include the extra discount :/ any suggestions @tightarse?

    • +1

Only thing I can think of is that you didn’t apply the code at the final stage before payment. Please check your Sony invoice & confirmation email and if there are discrepancies, I suggest contacting Sony first thing.

      • +1

It showed the lower price at final checkout which is why I was surprised when I was charged the higher amount. I’ll wait for the ‘its Shipped’ email to come through then get in touch with them.
        Cheers

      • Just got off the phone with Sony. They said 'promo codes cant be used in association with Click Frenzy pricing'. I explained that the promo code worked in my cart and then when i checked out, i got charged a higher price than what was displayed…
        Any suggestions?

        • +1

Please turn on messaging and PM me your order number so I can pass this onto Sony for you. Thanks.

    • I totally forgot the code at checkout, however I think I would have received more back from Cash Rewards because I paid the slightly higher price. All up I was out $46 at checkout. The Cash Rewards come back higher than that at 6%.

  • +1

Cheers TA. Good price on the CH500

  • Ahhh just missed it on headphones!! By 2 mins!!

  • +2

Sadly they didn’t have they wh1000xm3

  • Are the tv's new or refurbished, im a total newbie and have already ordered one, but if refurbished will cancel

    Thankyou in advance

    • Why would you think they are refurbished? Definitely brand new.

      • +1

Thats why i was asking, as i said a total newbie and got the Sony ebay store confused with Sony store.
        Appreciate your reply.

        • No worries, but regardless of the store, refurbished items have to be clearly identified as such by law, so unless stated otherwise these are brand new.

  • fyi: clickfrenzy got a popup msg saying that if you spend +500 AUD on a visa card, you get 100 back.

  • FYI I bought the A9F 65 for $2899 including delivery from a previous OzBargain email.

    • Damn good price. Was there a link or anything in the e-mail?

      • It was the Sony Ebay store with an ebay $300 code. "Damaged Box" sale but no damaged box and brand new TV not refurbished. Sorry I no longer have the email with the link.

        • Thanks, sounded awesome. You got lucky with that one then.

  • is the A6000 camera any good value?
    any bargain on lens?

    • +2

Great little camera. Im a professional photographer and i was really impressed with the shots I got from the a6000. Would highly recommend.
As far as lens recommendations, if you can get any of the below on sale, get them!
Zoom Lenses: Sony FE 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS (good all rounder)
Prime Lenses: Sony E 35mm f/1.8 (great for portraits or street photography) or Sony E 20mm f/2.8 (pancake lens - greeat for travel) or Sony 50mm f/1.8 OSS (Bokeh for days)
Wide Lenses: Rokinon 12mm f/2 (Great for landscapes)

  • Any opinion on the KD55X7000F? I've Currently got a Samsung 40inch 1080p LCD from 2008 (la40m81bd) and I'm looking for an upgrade, since my current TV doesn't support MPEG4. I understand that it an entry level smart TV (that all I really need to be honest). However, does it support some more common apps like PLEX?
