That is a very expensive computer.

    • "What's a computer¿¡"

  • July 2018 model but still a good one. Decent price. Worth it for the warranty.
Same price at JB hi-fi when they have the 10%.
    $2909 from Apple.

    • Are you referring to Costco warranty?
I've heard it doesn't work like this anymore.

  • i have this one, great laptop - but i will say they did have some QC issues got 1 with a blown logic board and one with a messed up wifi card - apple replaced the first and fixed the second but just a heads up (i got mine for $2790 on ebay)

    • Any keyboard problems?

I think i have the generation where they fixed the butterfly keys (2018 July one), i have a 2016 one which had the shitty keyboard, but the membrane they added seems to have sorted it out and no problems to date

      • I really love my MPB 2018 - My "A" button wore off and half my touchbar stopped working about 12 months in.
Apple repaired it (took 6 days) and now the keys feel much firmer. I don't know why this keyboard gets such bad reviews, it's hands down the most comfortable keyboard I've used ever (and I went back to my MBP2015 for a week and found my fingers fatigued much faster).

They cover anything on the keyboard or Touch bar for 4 years now and it renews if they replace it at any point.

    • 2nd it. My MacBook is being repaired: battery, keyboard, wifi antenna and logo board all failed. They do have QC issues. Good thing is Aussie consumer guarantee protected me after 2 hrs use.

      • Would hope so, after only 2 hrs use?

          2 yrs… autocorrect….😤

I really wish they'd get rid of the touchbar or offer a model with decent specifications without it, but they are stubbornly persevering with it. I ended up purchasing the 2017 entry model MacBook Pro because it was the only one without the touchbar, but the dual core processor is so weak it can't even run a basic Linux VM with a lightweight desktop environment without becoming unusuable. Pretty disappointing.

Then return it and get windows based laptop?

Or chuck Mac OS X on a windows laptop…

    • The touch bar isn't that bad - pointless, but not that bad.

  • 6gb of memory?

    That’s a strange number, non?

Photo is a bit fuzzy, but looks to be 16gb.

    • 16gb. Sorry the photo seems to have been reduced in quality since I posted it! Oh… I see it. I’ve updated the description. I could have sworn I typed 16!
