Any of The Current Bluetooth Headphones Has No Lag to Small Lag in Sound? For Gaming

As title I know there will be lag but IM asking in general if any new headphones managed to make it almost lag free?

Comments

  • Sony 1000x dont lag in my experience

  • Check the reviews here https://www.rtings.com/headphones/reviews/best/by-feature/wi…
    - they go into detail on the lag for every pair their review - they specific rate them for gaming lag too

The Sony XM3 and Bose QC35 have terrible lag from memory

  • +1

Bluetooth is an open standard with unavoidable delay but certain proprietary standards reduce the delay to unperceptible.

One standard is Qualcomm's APTx which has several different substandards. All of the them are lower lag than vanilla Bluetooth but the best for gaming or video is APTx-Low Latency.

In order to use APTx the transmitter and reciever device must both support the same standard of APTx eg both devices must support APTx-Low Latency. Qualcomm's website has a list of all APTx devices.

Sony has a propietary Bluetooth standard called LDAC but I am not sure what the lag is.

  • I bought a pai of Sony WH-CH700N/BME headphones a few weeks ago. Can't say I've noticed any lag/delay when used with my Samsung S7.

There's almost certainly lag. But It doesn't seem to be anything substantial.

  • Looks for headphones with LDAC support, e.g. Audeze Mobius Planar Magnetic Gaming Headset.
