Average Price for a Full Service for a 2010 Toyota Corolla Auto

Hey guys

Was just wondering what the cost of a full service for a 2010 Toyota Corolla auto, it's only done about 36000kms as I bought it second hand from an old lady who never drove it.

I've already had one service done at 15000kms and I asked them to do a major service (100km one)

Since I service it once a year I want them to do a full service again - I called up the local mechanic and was quoted $400.
The last service at the Toyota dealership cost me $450, I thought dealerships were meant to be a major rip off but this mechanic isn't far off.

Things on the log book to be done include:
Change enging oil, spark plugs, tighten chassis and body bolts, rotate wheels, clean air conditioner filter.
Inspect/adjust:
-drive belts, cooling and heater system, exhaust pipes and mountings, battery, engine air cleaner filter, fuel taken cap, fuel lines and control valve, Brake pedal and parking brake, brade pads/discs, brake fluid, clutch fluid, brake pupes, steering wheel, drive shaft boots, suspension ball joints, tyers, air conditioner and refrigerant level.

Would appreciate advice regarding avg price for a major service?

Thank you

    Have a look here: https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/services/mechanic-finder

Seems $300-$350 is the going rate for full logbook service in Adelaide.

Average Price for a Full Service

I thought you were asking about the price of another kind of "full service".

Glad the rest of your post clarifies what you're after! :)

      Same sort of range

Personally don't think it needs a "full service", spark plugs don't need changing every 10/15000km as you're suggesting. Just get the oil changed, tyres rotated and a general check over to make sure the car is running well.

Whats suggested certainly isn't a 'full service'. There isn't really such a thing. Major items are intentionally spread across many services so that the costs are spread out and to get the most life from different service items.

I've never seen any manual request 'everything' serviced at once.

  • I bought a 2009 Corolla with low kms off an old lady too. One of the services needed a new fuel filter which made it very expensive because it's apparently really tricky to access to change. To our advantage though, there was a recall for a fuel valve by Toyota so they did the filter change for free. Not sure if it's the same with the 2010 model but that could be why the mechanic is charging a bit extra.

  • Why are you doing the 100k service? Is it due by time? I wouldn't think it's due until 10 years old since most intervals are 10 000kms/year

    • Toyota has six-monthly service intervals at 10K km/six months, whichever comes first. I have a 2011 Corolla and that's what the log book says. I think it's now changed though for the new Corollas?

  • You don't need a major service. Besides, a major service is nothing more that basically replacement of items that have a longer service life compared to regular oil/filter changes. Considering the low km for age, I'd be simply doing oil/filter, brake fluid flush if it hasn't been done in 2+ years, and check everything else. $200-$250.

    "tighten chassis and body bolts,"

    You are kidding I hope.

I have had 4WDs for the last 36 years and never had a body or chassis bolt tightened.

  • Thanks for the feedback guys
