65% Off Netflix Via VPN (Mobile/Standard/Ultra $3.70/$5.12/$7.01 Mth W/No Fee Card)

710

You can get Netflix up to 65% cheaper for new sign-up (bonus: 30 days free) or renewing via easy & free VPN trial (once off). Personally, I kept the VPN to get foreign Netflix/BBC/YouTube/Prime etc content

I've used feedback from previous deals. And will update as we get newer/better info here.

Pricing & exchange rates change, and Netflix have admitted to raising some user's pricing, to see if they'll stay - So be sure to check-back occasionally.

STEP 3: Sign Up

Open a new incognito/private-browsing tab in your browser. Might not be enough

Visit Netflix

STEP 4: Enter Card Details

Working: Citibank Debit, 28 Degrees, Macquarie, ANZ Rewards

Mixed reports: ING, CBA

Note: Some banks block 1st attempt & send you a txt to confirm it's you. Once you reply, 2nd attempt will work.

Once complete, it may ask for a mobile phone number. Ignore it, open netflix site in a fresh tab & confirm account is running.

Existing Subscribers:

Visit Netflix website and cancel your subscription ASAP. It will expire at the end of the billing period. Then follow instructions above.

    • $6.98 is what I paid for premium, Argentina

    • Couldn't go through mobile number thing. Although Im using ING bank but that seems like went through since it showed next page with mobile number varrification.

      • yeah I got stuck here too

  • For anyone curious on the whole accounting concepts Netflix use, it's quite interesting (read: tax dodge)

  • I can't seem pass by phone confirmation. Tried ignoring but when logging in again it says "resume sighnup" or something like that. So I cant use it since the mobile number seems now crucial. Any suggestions?

    • Sign up aussie trial for 1 month and verify mobile.
Cancel before billed for 2nd month.
      Reactivate plan on VPN

      • Will that work? Cause that is what I have done so far now. Went on trial. Thank you. Will add more thanks if it will actually work :)

  • Working 17/10/2019
    Express VPN + TransferWise Card

Didn't work with Nord VPN, Downloaded ExpressVPN android app and selected 7 day free trial.

    • hey mate, when did the transferwise card become available in Australia?

  • If I sign up to Argentina/Turkey, do I still get the Australian Netflix content?

    • Yes, you get the content of the country you signed in from. To view US, or other countries content you needed to use VPN if you are signing from Australia.

  • +2

I just tried for 2 hours to sign up, constantly running into issues. Finally got it to work, here is my advice:

    1) Log into Netflix on an incognito tab first
    2) Sign up to the 1-day trial for ExpressVPN and connect to the Argentina server
    3) Refresh your Netflix tab, and navigate to the sign up/restart membership page - prices should be in ARS
    4) Notify your credit card provider through their app that you'll be travelling to Argentina for the current day
    5) Enter your credit card details and hit purchase, and it should work

I found if I did not notify my credit card provider, I had a few issues with payment. Some allowed the payment once I verified by text, but then Netflix seemed to get suss and required an Argentinian mobile number to continue. It's only when I used a different card and pre-notified, after declining the first time, did it work and a mobile number was not be required.

    • This worked perfectly for me, cheers!

  • Great to see this still working, so it seems Argentina is the cheapest for the Family 4K plan?

Just confirming, that I needd to:
    1. cancel current AU sub.
    2. wait for it to expire.
    3. VPN with Argentina and then sign up (and also let CBA know im travelling to ARG)

    • +2

3b - ARG is 14 hours behind (Syd/Melb AEST) so whatever date you specified keep that in mind
3c - Ensure that you don't use the credit/debit card within Australia on the day you are supposably in "ARG".

      • It worked, thank you guys, used ING card, reported that will be in Argentina for a couple of days. And yeah, awesome. Thank you!

    • I finally got through, but I had an issue changing the Credit Card during the process whilst on VPN. I tried updating the credit card (to 28 degrees) whilst in Argentina and then it asked to Verify mobile number and I couldn't get past.

So I closed and restarted and just used the existing Credit Card that was on the account (CBA) and it went through without phone verification.

Managed to sign up for Argentina eventually, I had a hard time getting VPN to work, Tried Express VPN and a few other on Android and Netflix would have errors when trying to sign in, Managed to use Windscribe on Windows and signed up for Build your own plan for $2. No issues with payment for Netflix using my ING card. The extra hassle is worth the savings, went from $13.99 to $6.61 and a free upgrade to Premium for 1st month as well :)

    • +2

Just for future reference with Windscribe - if you click the chat box at the bottom and ask the bot for a 'free trial' it will give you a 24 hour trial and doesn't require an email address/payment information, so can be used as many times as you want when needed.

  • Done last night. Wait for subscribe to end Login as per normal and go to plan page. Login to ghost vpn argentina. Refresh. Update card details, ignore update phone number. All done.

  • Did anyone received a refund from netflix from doing this way?

Apparently netflix suddenly cancelled my netflix subs 3 days before the next cycling bill.
I signed up via VPN Argentina netflix and apparently i received the full amount ARS 369 back ($9.50).

Pretty happy about it but just kinda bizarre.

  • do you have to be connected to a vpn to use this or is it only for the initial sign up phase?

    • +1

      Initial sign up only

      • wow nice, do you know if i can use Private internet access vpn (i have a subscription) to get this deal?

        • +1

If your VPN allows you to select Argentina or Turkey, then yes. Recommend following some of the steps above re cancelling an existing subscription, which cards to use, avoiding mobile confirmation…

          • @DamonT: oh right, yeh it does not have it, i read someone used Hide My IP extension (free).
which of these listed vpn do you recommend? (free trial than cancel) also which do you recommend turkey or Argentina?

          • @DamonT: its asking for an Argentinian phone number, people suggested to leave that tab and open a new tab, but doing that it will ask you to complete account setup. how do i do this?

  • Hey guys, can I still watch while I travel abroad? I'm going for 3 moths work soon……

    • +1

You'll just have access to that country's catalogue, unless you use a VPN that works with Netflix.

  • Can anyone confirm this still works? I've tried with SaferVPN and using existing account. I get to the payment page, however, couldn't use CBA, 28 Degrees or HSBC as it says somethings wrong with the payment method.

I tried creating a new account with a new email but now can't pass the mobile stage (I've tried ignoring the mobile part as suggested but it appears you need to verify to go through).

    • I just tried this with safervpn and existing account. It worked with my registered anz debit card from last subscription. It also asks for phone number but I just ignored the page.

      • Thanks, I just tried again with a different machine and it has now worked.

        • Different machine as in device? Because I also am having trouble bypassing the mobile verification.

          • @WoodenSpoon: Yea, different device.

            • @Bearboi: Tried on multiple devices using both Argentina and Turkey Servers but having no luck bypassing mobile verification.

              • @WoodenSpoon: I suspected it wasn't machine related. So it must've been a coincident when it worked for me. The first day I tried, I couldn't log in whilst on Argentina VPN, so I logged in via AU first, then turned VPN on and refreshed, it picked up the Argentina price after the page refresh, however I wasn't able to pass the mobile stage. 2 days later I tried India VPN and it got passed the payment page and didn't ask for mobile, it also updated my Credit card details in my profile, I got to the last step to complete but I didn't proceed as I thought I'll give Argentina one last try on a different machine, this time I was able to login whilst on Argentina VPN and it went through without asking for mobile and I was able to use the existing credit card details (as I was able to update whilst trying on Indian VPN).

Sorry, might sound a bit confusing, but I tried quite a few different combinations, but basically it eventually worked. It's possible that you may just need to wait a couple of days and try again.

                I used Safervpn for Argentina.

                • @Bearboi: Tried again today with PrivateVPN as it was the last day of the 7 Day Trial, connected to Argentina Server and was able to get through this time with no Mobile Verification :)

                  • @WoodenSpoon: P.S Anyone know if you need to connect to a VPN if you were to chance your plan? E.g. from Standard to Premium.

  • I see for HD Indian account you have to pay ₹649 which is equivalent to $13.14 AUD.

  • Working today. Aussie trial with mobile verified ended.. waiting a few weeks then used SaferVPN trial chrome extension. Skipped ARG mobile verification.. 28 degrees card notified of holiday.

    • hey how did you verify with aussie mobile?

When i go through to set up the account, I get to the payment screen, then it wants an Argentinian mobile number to verify the account.

      • +1

Verified with Aussie mobile during Aussie the trial period. When I setup today it asked for the ARG mobile and I left it blank and continued.

        • Thanks I'll give that a go

        • Hey that worked thanks a lot

  • what is the tax that gets applied when using Argentina
Netflix prices are pre tax prices in Argentina

  • +1

This is the process I followed to get it to work using Android Smart device.

    1. While account is still active update to choice of exchange fee free credit card (28 degrees etc)
    2. Cancel membership and wait for it to run out
    3. Once expired, clear data from Android app
    4. Turn off WiFi and use 4G data (you may not need to do this, my choice of VPN might have still exposed something AU when using primary home internet)
    5. Connect to AU VPN
    6. Launch Netflix app, sign in
    7. Once signed in, switch to Turkey or other VPN
    8. Select restart membership, prices should now be in other currency
    9. Continue on to close out the process
  • I tried it using PureVPN and it did not work for both Turkey and Argentina.

It came thru as either USD or Swiss krone.

If anyone can offer help, it will be much appreciated.

    Steps taken:
    1. Signed up to PureVPN, log in and connect to either server.
    2. Used Chrome private mode and did not work.
    3. Used Internet Explorer private mode and it did not work.
    4. Repeat the steps using mobile app and still did not work.

    Help anyone?

Btw, avoid PureVPN as much as possible. It is so difficult to cancel and get refund from this guy. Customer service is horrible and dragging its feet for cancellation.

Method for existing Netflix with CBA credit card
    1. Cancel your Netflix
    2. Open chrome browser in incognito mode after clearing cookies etc
    3. Start VPN unlimited and select Turkey server
    4. Goto Netflix.com/signup NOT Netflix.com
    5. Go through signup process. You will be asked to create a new account. Just enter same username and password and it will recognise you and restart your membership without the free trial.

  • Since last couple days trying to reactivate my Au netflix on Turkey Netflix via Windscribe VPN or Hola chrome extension but it keeps saying sorry something wrong . Please try it again later.
I tried a few of my credit cards 28deg, Citibank, BW and all not working.

Tried the tricked mentioned above to get to payment page on Au Netflix page and then connect to Turkey VPN and change to Turkey pricing but same issue

Not sure what else can be done or Netflix really blocking me registering to the Turkey account
Any other suggestions would be great

    Thanks

    • I just tried to set up on Netflix Turkey but I am being redirected to Netflix Netherlands and being shown a charge page in Euros.

I also logged into the signup page for Netflix Argentina and the price I was being displayed was 449 ARS rather than the 369 on the pricing sheet.

    • I'm having the same problem. Did you find a fix? tried CBA, UBANK, HSBC, ANZ cards, no luck. can't pass the payment page.

  • If someone can share your experience.
It looks like Netflix automatically reset password when I log on from Australia and US server simultaneous or within the day.

It also wont allows me to reset password using US server and likely because I originally sign up from another server in a differet country.

If you have a similar experience, pls share. This seema that we will not get a Turkey or Arfentina netflix subscription to acess Australia or US shows on a trial VPN.

    Argentina prices have gone up:

    Basic ARS199
    Standard ARS319
    Hd ARS449

I think that makes it more expensive than Turkey now

    • Did you get charge ARS319? I got charged ARS411 for the standard definition subscription.

      • Ignore my question. I did a research and it is the 'netflix' tax 30% imposed by Argentina govt from mid Dec 2019 😢😢😢

        • Link to this tax? I’m not paying it for Argentina (still on the old pricing of ARS369, for now) and can find articles linked from 2014, 2017 and 2018 and they all say it’s to be implemented/already implemented with the current pricing. So unsure what extra tax this is that you’re referring to now.

          • @Nousernamehere: Here we go
            https://www.ey.com/gl/en/services/tax/international-tax/aler…

It could be my subscription started after the implementation date.

Credit card providers are the tax collection agent.

Although after another read after your request, it seems to only apply to the Argentine residents.

            • @Flyinghigh: From what I can read, it would only be an 8% tax considering Netflix is a digital service.

Both Argentine individuals and entities are subject to the tax. The tax rate is 30% and applies to taxable purchases, except for the purchase of digital services, which will be subject to an 8% rate. Argentine financial institutions, credit card issuers, travel agencies and transport companies must act as collection agents of the tax.

And good luck to them getting this tax from my bank.

  • Not Working tried all methods. tried ing cba with travel notification.

Keep Saying "Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again later."

Further Help would be greatly appreciated. :)

    Turkey Windscribe.

Argentina Windscribe as well, No success.

    • Stuck at same message "Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again later."

set up my netflix today, using express vpn via argentina.
signed up for a free trial AUS netflix, canceled before expiry then signed up for the top package via 28 degreed mastercard its currently AU$11.02 (ARS449)
had some issues with chrome, so cleared all cookies etc and used internet explorer, no issues.

tried before setting up trail and got stuck on the need for phone validation, no such problem after trial has expired.

Successfully signed up to Netflix Argentina.

    Steps taken:
    1. Signed up to Netflix AUS free trial
    2. Cancelled the free trial and waited until it expired.
    3. Deleted the orinal Netflix app after the free trial subscription (note: netflix app may has a location saved, so this is to clear it. You may also want clear out all cookies).
    4. Reinstalled a new Netflix app.
    5. Logged in to SaferVPN and connected to Argentina.
    6. Logged in to Netflix app to restart subscription.
    7. Chose the subscription level and all up and running.

I paid with an American Express card.

    Enjoy your Netflix!!!

    • I tired to sign up for trail but there is no free trail for australia..!

    • What do you mean by app?

I can't get this to work at all using SaferVPN and about 3 different cards

      • What i meant by app is Android or Apple App (Application).

You may want to cancel your existing account and re-join after it is cancel but using VPN.

  • RIP under 10 AUD Argentina prices, now ~$11 AUD a month.

  • Have been trying for hours to get it to work for an existing account, however unsuccessful. Tried various VPN’s such as CyberGhost, Windscribe premium, SaferVPN etc as well as different browsers, devices and 3 different cards. Tried these methods with both Argentina and Turkey. Thinking that they’ve fixed it up now :(

Finally managed to get my Argentinian account going.

Waited until the free trial ended - opened VPN to Argentina - Opened IE - Clear History etc. - Go to Netflix.com and log in using previous info - get a welcome back message - choose your plan to continue - prices will then be shown in ARS.

Just checked my 28 Degrees online and payment for $7.82 went through.

Good luck to everyone else trying, I tried with new accounts and could never get past the mobile phone verification. Waiting until the trial period has expired skips this verification requirement.

  • Looks like Netflix is raising prices for Argentina so turkey will become the cheapest by ~76cents for the top tier.

Your monthly price is increasing to ARS449 on Sunday, March 29th 2020. Why? We’re hard at work improving Netflix so that you can have even more great TV shows and movies to enjoy.

    • Nothing to do with their currency value :p

  • Eventually it works now
    - 1 month Aust trial with my Creditcard and verified my phone.
    - Vpn to Turkey
    - Browse to netflix.com. Sign in button will gives error message for me
    - enter AU email address to Trial Turkeys netflix, enter password, follow the prompts.
    - For my case it gives another free Trial month

Just to share in case it's useful for others.

  • Hey guys just tried today 06/03/20 - Citibank Debit Card.. Tried to change my card on file.. with no luck

  • stuck in billing page. it keeps saying "there appears to be a problem with the payment method you are trying to use" connect via turkey and arg vpn using windscribe
try 28 deg, ANZ Debit, Coles Master card, ING Debit, NAB none of them work :(

I take it you're trying to add the payment method when signing up for the account with either Turkey/Argentina and not just reactivating an Australian account through Turkey/Argentina Netflix?

Best way to get it working (and helps get around the mobile verification too) is to have an Australia account for a month, let it lapse, then re enable it through your choice of Turkey or Argentina whilst keeping the payment method the same.

Successfully signed up to Netflix Turkey today.

    Steps taken:
    1. Signed up to Netflix AUS free trial
    2. Added 28 Degree card to account.
    3. Cancelled the free trial and waited until it expired.
    4. Logged in to HolaVPN and connected to Turkey server.
    6. Logged in to www.netflix.com through web-browser, it asked me to resubscribe.
    7. Chose the subscription level and it will popped up the 28 Degree card which I stored earlier. (when asked for Mobile number press next step and it will pass that step)
    8. Competed subscription on Web browser, Opened up Netflix App and all good there…

    Hope this helps someone..

    • I'm doing this with PureVPN on both android redmi 8 and chrome on macbook air.
I've put it to Turkey and turned off location on the redmi.

Now,I get to the screen where it says to pay 41.99 TL/mo for a premium Turkish plan, but when I attempt to pay I get an error:

There appears to be a problem with the payment method you are trying to use.

I am using my CItibank card and also my Up card - both have been used abroad with no problems.

Are you trying to add Citibank card while signing up? if so it wont work… I had the same issue.

I got a new citibank card today so had to update my billing info. Worked fine with Citibank Plus + PureVPN turkey

    • Good info to know, thanks

    • What process did you follow if you don't mind sharing the steps? Im going to have to do the same soon!

        1. Downloaded PureVPN on my phone, signed up and activated the free trial via google play subscription
        2. Connect to Turkey via PureVPN
        3. Log into Netflix and go to account page then click "update payment info"
        4. Type in new Citibank details and click save (once you click save it charges then refunds 1.00 TRY)

On step 4, the first time my payment didn't go through. It said something like "make sure your bank enables international payments" a couple seconds later I got a SMS from Citibank sending a security alert and blocking my card. I just replied "Y" acknowledging that I made this transaction and it unblocked my card. Then, I clicked "save" again on Netflix and it worked.

        Hope that helps :)

          • @dddddog: I guess check if your card didn't get deactivated and all your payment info is correct. The first time I signed up (over a year ago) I tried a few VPNs before I got it working with Hotspotshield Turkey. Since I already used their free trial I couldn't use them again this time but try see if you have any luck with hotspot shield. Good luck!

            • @wowco: Thanks for that!

I've tried and it doesn't work.

I've got VPN Pure and Hotspot Shield 1 week trials this week.
Hoping I can figure it out before then..

              • @dddddog: As you are having difficulties with your card I would suggest going on but cancelling an Aussie plan for 1 month. This will allow you to add the card. Once the 1 month expires use the VPN to reactivate on a TL

I had to do something similar but was not charged as Netflix was offering 30 day trial at the time

                • @4agte: Genius.
Let me try that and get back to you with confirmation

                  • @dddddog: I had the same issue for Turkey but Argentina works.

It's a tiny bit more expensive, but it works :)

                    • @mangobango: I was unable to do it with 4gate's method.

However now I have signed up for Aus Premium. I am thinking to cancel subscription and on the day it expires, i will try to log in with a VPN and then try to sign up to the Argentina store.

Question - on the day the payment is due and I don't renew it, will access be cut off instantly?

Also, mangobango, any other advice? Like, what VPN did you use, bank card and on PC or app?
                      thanks

                      • +2

@dddddog: Yes you'll be cut off instantly. Just be mindful that the "expiration" date in your account is a day earlier than it should be. Mine said it was going to expire on the 4th of April, but actually the 5th of April was my final day of streaming.

I used Windscribe VPN to do it. I could get to Argentina payment with other VPNs but very hit or miss (would usually show up as USD).

Just do a build your own plan thing on Windscribe for $2 and select Argentina in your package.

I used the Android apps to do it, cleared data for Netflix before booting it up and opening the VPN.

Also the bank card I used was UBank as they don't have any international fees.

Price for Standard ended up being $8.26 per month so I'm happy :)

                        Hope this helps!

                        • @mangobango: thank you

just to clarify, do you suggest setting up a brand new account and then attempting to sign up to Arg. with Windscribe?
Or do you think I could also do this with my present Australia plan?

I'm with UP (bank) who also offer no international fees. :)

                          • @dddddog: Nah, no need to set up a new account, you can use your old account so you can keep all of your history/recommendations and whatnot.

I set it up with my current account too which I've had for a few years now so no dramas :)

Just after expires, when you go to sign in it will give you the whole "subscribe now" spiel, so just go through the usual process and also you can skip the phone number authentication, just click continue when you get to that and it will skip.

                            • @mangobango: thank you. i'll try in a few weeks and let you know.

  • Have been using Netflix VPN method for a while now, but had to change billing method due to bank change.
When trying to switch over, seems like they up'ed their authentication and have now added a "to confirm payment, we'll text you a code to confirm" and only allows the countries phone numbers.
This isn't with the bank, this was on Netflix's side.

To be fair, I don't watch too much Netflix, and I would be more than happy to pay for slightly less using a gray area method, but as they make the process more strict (which I get), I feel less inclined to try and cancel the sub altogether.
