I think I've picked up a little neg pet on OzBargain. All of my comments, even the innocuous ones, get a single neg pretty quickly. Obviously I peed someone off about something I said, and they've decided to follow me.

Sometimes I upvote people who have been negged, because I don’t understand why they’ve been negged and want to even it out.

In politics, that's called pairing.
Sometimes, I'll make a post that encourages a lot of negs. It's usually when I'm pissed at something and can't be bothered being politically correct (which in my mind is something white people harp on about to make minorities like myself feel better).
Maybe you should consider that you're not getting negged because of political correctness or lack thereof.
Maybe you were getting negged because your perspective on the issue is flawed.

I swear I’m still getting butt hurt neggers doing random drive by negs all because I put some dogshit in an iPad box and left it out for the filthy hard garbage bin scabs.
Some people carry a grudge on here and if the fake internet points they can dish out help them sleep at night and if they genuinely think their passive aggressive jabs are enough to help them cry themselves to sleep at night, I say let them have it. They last a few days and give up. Just set your watch and wait for them to get butt hurt at something else you say and watch it all kick off again a month later…
