i think some of the reviews were over exaggerated. ive played all the games on mine and havent experienced any of the slow downs.
You can change it to NTSC using usb hack I believe.
One of the issues is that the games are PAL but the console still outputs at 60hz (even here in Aus). So every 5th or 6th frame (can't remember the maths) is duplicated which introduces some stutter.
Will this emulate ps1 games better than my ps3 (ps3 is jailbroken, and plays ps3 ‘backups’ of games, I haven’t tried ps1 games on ps3 yet though .
All PS3s play PS1 games straight out of the box.

I have an old ps1 that doesn’t work, so if I want the retro look for the aesthetics, I can pull that out and tell friends I’m playing the ps1 games through it 😃

Got mine on Friday (9/8).
Have already installed AutoBleem, added another 12 PS1 games so far - as well as hundreds of other games in RetroArch. Well worth the money, had replaced my RetroPi. :D
