  Do people actually pay to get into these things and if so do the same people also pay for ads to be delivered in their mailbox?

  Am I missing something here? Pay $20 (regular price) to go somewhere and listen to people trying to sell you a franchise?

  I went in 2007 and have a magazine I bought there. I actually considered buying into several different types of franchises. All of which have been in the news for the wrong reasons, more recently. I feel bad for the people that got sucked into these (most of them anyway).
