  Can the Delsey Moncey 55cm be used for carry on for United Airlines? The United page says 22 cm x 35 cm x 56 cm, which makes the Moncey slightly too large.

    Although it’s true that manufacturer dimensions can technically exceed certain airline specifications… common believe it or not across many airlines small print even in large check in baggage… it’s rare to get pulled up on it but absolutely it can happen.

    This is not specific to Delsey and measurement can vary depending on who is measuring. Do you include wheels? Top handle?

    United’s limits Add up to 113 linear cm (most common sizing methodology) and this bag adds up to 105… but yes…. technically too deep at 25cm

    I of course can not determine United’s decisions but I hope this information has helped you make your decision

      Thanks. I went for the 76cm in the end. It was a good deal and a great suitcase. I was umming and aahing about also getting the 55cm but then the deal ended ¯_(ツ)_/¯ next time!
