What’s a bigger hassle:
Having to go on chat once before purchasing, followed by a quick chat detailing a reference number once you’ve purchased what’s needed?or
Having to try to get a refund honoured which, even if someone confirms that they can, are under no obligation to provide?

As far as telcos go, prepaid voucher =/= SIM pack.
The idea of the special deal with a SIM pack is to entice a new activation (port-in or new number) hence the good deal. Once you’re on the network, recharging with the same value (e.g $200) will get you much less.
You’ll just be creating a headache for yourself if you don’t first get absolute confirmation from them before purchasing.
