  I notice that these kiosk remember your card details. I had recently borrowed from them it asked if i wanted to change my contact details during checkout. is that allowed/legal that they should be storing that type of info?

      The kiosks recognises your card based on previous transactions. At that point you can edit your details that you linked with your card (Eg phone / email address). So it’s handy to edit your details if you’ve changed phone number or email provider.

      Effectively saves you having to type a password at the kiosk. So a kind-of clever system, using your credit card as a ‘token’ to identify you…

        my concern is that if they have a data breach it exposures alot of user details. but on the other hand it handy not to have to re-type everything again.

          @godofpizza: Yep. Same for any business that stores any personal data really… got to trust that they are doing it responsibly.

    Read their T&Cs.

    You authorise them to use your credit card to charge you if you don't return the DVD.

    The Kiosk doesn't remember your details, it's on your account on their server. The Kiosk just displays them.
