I was in exactly the same boat when the Gearbite special came up a while ago. Wait for another JoyBuy special or pay a bit more. In the end:
      1. Gearbite seemed to have a good rep here on Ozbargain
1a.The Gearbite one (and I assume this deal) are the global edition (doesn't mean much but I think the Chinese version if you swipe one way you get some sort of Alipay and the other way you get music control but with the global you get music control both ways).
      2. I could have in 5 days compared to between 28-41 days (stock in Australia)
      3. Didn't have to worry about foreign exchange rates
      4. Didn't have to worry about customs
      5. I'd be able to record those additional 36 days steps 😁

$48 vs $34 only you can make that decision 🤔

Does this impact phone battery life? Since buying my fake copy (M4) my phone battery has struggled.

    • Well bluetooth and gps needs to always been on to sync

      • Seems the same as Mi Band 2 which in my case I barely notice any battery drain. I rarely have GPS on and just use Bluetooth though.

  • can I set it to vibrate along with my alarm in the morning?

    • It would be 2 seperate alarms, your phone "noise" alarm (set from Android clock) and your miband vibrate one (from the MiFit app). If I remember rightly (and my memory's not that good, just ask the wife) standard Mi Fit app alarm is just 3 short buzzs, maybe not enough to wake you if you're a deep sleeper. I use Mi Band tools and can push it out to 10 repeats so 30 buzzs, but I can silence it via the "soft button" or shaking my phone.

      • Notify and Fitness has an option that vibrates the band with your system alarm.

      • Via the app you can set your own vibration pattern, eg long press, short press. It saves your combination and you can choose that as your alarm button!

  • Its hard to see which store is official. AliExpress has an official Xiaomi store. Priced similar to one on eBay.

  • How’s it compared to Apple Watch?

    • +4

it's not Apples to Apples comparison son.

  • I've finally pulled the trigger after missing the joybuy deal.

  • Thanks OP, got one.

  • Silly question.

If I buy one for my son (who does not have a phone) and for me.

Can I bind both Mi Bands to the one phone?

    • No, I don't believe so. In my case I had to remove my MiBand 2 before adding the Mi Band4 (if using the Xiaomi Mifit app).
What I don't know is whether you could use a different App to control the second one. Interesting question.

    • You only can be connected to one phone only.

If you on Andriod, you could use "Second" space or Duplicate apps.

      iOS has no options.

  • Does this work well with the iPhone?

Anyone else get a rash? I stopped wearing mine.

Did I have it too tight?

    • Good to know, I had that with Fitbit surge which was a known issue and they gave me a refund. So Ithink I should stay away from this then.

      • I stopped wearing it, skin is still clearing up. I guess I have a reaction to the rubber band? Ohwell

        • purchase a stainless steel band. I personally don't think it'll look nice though.

    • You can get metal bands for this as well. Have a look on ebay.

  • didnt see earlier deals, but jumped on this to upgrade from current band 2

    • You won't regret it as now you will be able to read the time outdoors and the features far surpass the Mi Band2. Enjoy it :-)

  • Thanks OP, I snagged one of these.

  • sorry if this question sounds dumb, but can this be kept on at a gym sauna or when would you need to take it off, assuming you can keep it on in the shower etc.

    • Do it at your discretion. A good lesson I learned from a few years ago was never to test that limit if you value your item. I had an LG urban X watch($400+) which was rated safe for shower and water splash. After a year, water somehow got into the watch from showers. I contact LG and was told that the warranty is voided if it is water damaged. I questioned what's the point of that water resistant rating if it is not covered by warranty and was told that's how it works.

      • Yeah that's fair and I would agree about "water resistant" ratings, however in this case it's supposed to be water proof upto a depth of 50m if I read that correctly. My question was more with regards to the temperature it might be able to withstand.

        • I regularly clean the Mi Band 2 in a ultrasonic cleaner and haven't had a issue with it, the wifes Apple Watch 2 on the other hand…..

  • Hi guys, great deal OP

Anyone have ideas on best way to get coloured ones?

Know of any deals or seperately?

    Thank you!

  • Is anyone else getting the following error when adding the code?

This code can't be applied to your order.

  • Mine arrived today. Ordered Monday evening so shipping pretty fast. Going well so far. Everything working including notifications on iPhone XS Max. I’ve had a $300 Fitbit before and I reckon this is just as good for a fraction of the price. Thanks OP!

    • I've just noticed my eBay purchase history says it's pre order and won't arrive until mid sept.

Has this always been the case? If so this would be annoying and no point in ordering from au.

      • Obviously not i.e. always being that way.
Reason: The above comment said he just received hence were in stock at time of original post. Must have sold out. Am surprised this post does not show as EXPIRED if wold out?

  • anyone know how to change the displayed date format?
Mines currently showing MM/dd instead of dd/MM like 'normal' people prefer :/

    • Check your Mobile device that you have it connected to and its date format. Adjust that and MiBand should follow suit.

      • My Huawei shows its date in the correct way and has its language and region set to Australia
Mi band still flipped though :/

  • Just bought one. Thanks OP.

  • Showing for me as $57.91 delivered. Is this an eBay Plus thing?

  • Supplier added shipping cost so no longer deal 😭☹️
