Free Trains App (Brisbane only)

Moved to Forum: Original Link

I've created this web app for myself but I'm happy to have other people use it for free. It's good if your trips are the same every day (E.g. commuting to CBD in AM and back home in PM). Looks best on mobile screens. South East Queensland only.

He's created something and making it available to the public. Sheesh tough crowd.

It was posted as a bargain which was my contention… and then Google maps does this except for built into my phone and better. I'm all for learning by doing, just letting people know.

  • What improvements does this have over the Translink site/app?

    • stop using the translink site you people whyy it's so bad… Google maps ftw

      • Have you tried Moovit? I prefer over Google Maps for public transport.

        • Ehh I prefer first party stuff and GMaps has so much integrated into it

        • I have always used "Embark" - it's detailed and not messy, you are able to set favourite destinations and it shows an estimate on how long it will take to get to that destination (includes walking distance and estimated walk times).
I especially love how it shows buses and Uber arrival/cost as well as trains

While I applaud your initiative, sometimes you can't beat a cut out of times to work and times to home… Offline and instant retrieval. I keep a paper cut out in the back of my go card in a plastic sleeve attached to my work pass.
