Think I'll pass based on having to pay to compare lol

  • So many problems with Econnex

See Econnex Offer - Poor Service

Expect pushy sales calls & SMS sales pitches! Discussed in last Econnex deal

Tried to push me into changing immediately without seeing details of offer from Retailer, told to just switch anyway (I would have lost current discounted Plan which is no longer offered), did not email Plan details as requested, site has option to email Plan details - but repeatedly failed to work (tried 2 valid email addresses), repeatedly sent SMS offers with impossible savings on my very low Bill (save up to $676 - current bill is $16/mth wirh no solar)…

    AVOID!

      So many problems with Econnex

The ACCC says comparison sites are showing a list of providers that are paying the highest commission to the website operator while informing the user they are seeing a list of the lowest prices.

The regulator that allows the price obsfucation operates one of these scamming websites known as Energy Made Easy.

Prices are the highest in the world at the same time as fools are telling themselves they're getting a good deal because of competition.

FWIW I had a recent experience with Origin over billing my electricity account by 40-50% on a direct debit arrangement.
Luckily I spotted it and questioned it despite it being an actual reading (not estimated) yet it was completely wrong.
Supplied photographic proof, then got informed there may be a reread fee (as Energex does the readings) and that I wouldn't be billed until resolved.
No bill adjustment was ever made, I was billed the incorrect amount & had to follow up a further 2x to get the bill to what the meter actually read.

Please keep an eye on your bills!

    • That’s crap. I’d be complaining to the ombudsman when they suggested a re-read fee. You’ve provided the proof, end of story. I’d demand the equivalent of the re-read fee for your time & effort dealing with the (Energex) stuff up).
