  • I am loving Harvey Norman… oh, wait!

  • I had a 7 plus for 3 years, not one issue with it, had 4 iPhone 6 Plus’ replaced Under warranty for one reason or the other. Great phone, I’d still have it if I didn’t get a great deal on an X

    • What was the great deal?

      • $670 for a new 64g

  • The wife has a mint condition 6S. Is it worth upgrading to this?

Personally I wouldn’t unless she has only 16gb and needs more storage? My daughter Has a 6s and works pretty well still. The only negative thing is that has only 16gb, but she’ll have to live with that .

If her 6S is mint condition, she's probably not using it.

It’s been cased and covered since she’s had it.

It did have an issue with the phone speaker recently and Apple gave her the option to get it repaired for $220 or sell it to them for $80….as it was in A1 condition. I got it repaired locally for $60.

The screen on my iPad Pro 12.9 has been bulging for some time now due to a swelling battery (or so I read). I dread to think what a repair would cost, even for an issue that’s an obvious design/manufacturing flaw.

Apple really aren’t what they once were.

  • got the 128gb for my daughter for $30 more at JB 6 months ago, should be under $500 now.

  • iPhone 7 is under investigation in the US after independent testing showed that it was emitting above safety limit radiation.

I would wait for results before jumping and buying one.

  • Has anyone upgraded to ios13 on an iPhone 6s? If so, is the performance ok?

iPhone 6S was tested first in that video.

However, some sites reported compatibility issues. There is also a security vulnerability issue (someone can access your contacts if they have physical access to your device, without needing to unlock it apparently). Next iOS 13 (13.1) will address it and Apple is bring that release forward.

    HN are (profanity).
I wanted one for my 13 yo daughter, I was first in upon opening on Sat morning, the sales guy already knew they didn't have any in stock.
The only place in Vic showing stock was Water Gardens showing 1x 32GB model, which was probably a return or missing.
The whole thing appears to have been a publicity stunt to get people through the door.
They are no longer the discounters they used to be - they've lost me.

      HN. Discounters? wtf

  • If you were thinking of switching (I have been) then I've seen some good deals in the past for the Google Pixel 3a at JB HI FI, didn't they have a deal for like $350 or $400 not long ago? I've currently got the iPhone 6s and recently got a friend to put in a new battery I bought off ebay so i''m hanging on for dear life.. now I'm having problems hearing people when they call but it's fine on speaker or if I use a headset. I might get a Pixel soon when I see one go on deal just to see what the opposition is like.. at least give it a go and if I don't like it will at least get me through to the iPhone release next year which will hopefully have 5G and that's an investment I'd rather make over this years model.

  • Spoke to a couple of Harvey Normans and both said stock were on order and one said stock was ordered for the “Upcoming promotion” and should be in within 2 to 3 weeks.

Just quite bewildered, why has this gotten so many votes? Does this mean people are rushing out to buy this? Can't see this being as great a deal so the votes would suggest.

    • The current retail price on an iPhone 7 is about $600-650. So at $500 it is a decent discount.

      • Ok thank you. I have always wanted an iPhone. Might actually buy this then.

  • At this price, why not just get a OnePlus 7 256gb?

    • Because 3 year old tech is better.
