They rarely use materials in headphones or earphones that have memory so that isn't much of an issue.
I've had a lot of different brands over the years and have always wound them around something. Never has this been an issue for me.
when you wind them around a phone or mp3 player which is bigger its not that bad, but this is quite small - it does actually tangle a bit after you unwind them. ( I had the fish ones)
I was talking about small things, mostly things actually like what's pictured.
You wind them up so they don't get tangled…
You must have had one of the few that use memory materials or a really cheap set.
The small's are actually a bit too big for earphones. Better off to use a bone flexi thing.
But some large's are good for super long printer cables, etc.

Only if they are really cheap, you wind too close to either end or to tight.
Give it about an inch either end.
What section of the store are these things in?
It's towards the right side of the store..
Go to where the iPhone / iPad cases are, turn around, and at the very end of the isle you will see a thin strap and these are attached to it.
It may not be the iPhone cases isle, may also be the next one going towards the front of the store…
no more tangled earphones…but welcome the permanently curled up earphones that spiral up to your ears
