  • Grabbed the Sennheiser GSP 370's, which seem like a good price for a new product that is very highly rated.

Be careful of the ASUS TUF RX 5700 card.

I don't know if the RX 5700 suffers from this issue, but the RX 5700 XT variant has a problem with memory cooling. HardwareUnboxed covered this recently in their Worst CPU and GPU purchases of 2019 video: https://youtu.be/OHYQYIlnjv0?t=791

I assume the same design was just slapped on the RX 5700, but maybe there is a small difference?

For 5700, although the design flaw still exists, the overall cooling is fine. So at this price, this can be a very nice deal.

Well if the memory is still running at 104-106 degrees Celsius, it will probably eventually fail.

105 degrees Celsius is the upper limit of operating temperature for GDDR6 modules according to Micron: https://www.micron.com/products/graphics-memory/gddr6

GDDR6 probably could go up to as high as 115 degrees Celsius, but I still think over 100 is too high for longevity. So if the RX 5700 model is reaching the same as HardwareUnboxed's 5700 XT which measured 106 degrees Celsius then we have a problem imo.

    Samsung 860 EVO 1TB Was $169, Now $169.

    Where is the deal?

    • Haha, good catch! Going into the link it says down from $178 to $169, but there is also a $16 cashback via redemption, so there's that.

      ?

  • Well nice price on the RX 5700 but it’s a 2.7 slot card which rules out many ITX builds

  • Is that 1tb evo ssd any good for file storage?(have os on an nvme but space for a 2.5 ssd as well, and my mx500 500gb is being donated to the Mrs laptop)
    .
Anything better for the money/cheaper for 1tb?

    • Crucial MX500 is obviously cheaper (QLC), but the EVO 860 (TLC) is pretty much gold standard for SATA III SSD in terms of warranty, reliability and speed. I have both EVO 850 and 860 in my PC.
