TCL Plex Set-up. How to Access App Drawer?

Hi

Setting up a TCL Plex. On first start walk through it asked if I preferred the swipe left/right GUI or the pull down drawer. I selected left/right. I've since watched some reviews and it shows them using both. When swipe up I only get an app suggestion box.
I have bunched a group of similar apps in folders, would thus cause the issue?
Any ideas? I don't want to hard reset.

    Long tap on empty part of home screen, then select Home settings.
    Then select first option called Home screen style.

    Has anyone had luck signing into the TCL+ app?

      Nope, not sure what purpose this app serves either
