ESET Internet Security 3 PCs 1 Year - $8.80 DD or $8.98 CC/PayPal @ SaveOnIT

160

Needed to renew my antivirus and found that SaveonIT are doing a good price for ESET Internet Security 3 PCs 1 Year (emailed key only, no physical box).

$8.80 if paying by Direct Deposit (+$0.18 surcharge if paying by credit card or Paypal. The usual SaveonIT price for this tends to fluctuate between $10-16, but this is the lowest I've seen in a while. The normal street price is around $12 (e.g. from MSY).

If you prefer Kaspersky they have 3 PCs x 2 years Internet Security for $16.49 (plus extra 2% for CC/Paypal charges).

I have bought keys from these guys for the last three years and had no issues with validity or speed of delivery.

        Kaspersky Russian

        • Much better then.

Usa/au/uk could all 'impact my life' if they decided to misuse my data.

Russia? They can know as much about me as they wish.

  • Wonder if we can get a mobile / PC deal?

I have been using ESET for years, my subscription was due for renewal again this month. Ask my IT guy about it, he said windows 10 there is no need for antivirus software. Anyone got thoughts on this?

Kaspersky has free product so better use it

    • Did he mean no need or that you should use Microsoft essentials?

Some people are happy with that but I also like the extra functionality that comes with paid antivirus.

      Each to their own!

He's not a very good IT guy then. Traditional viruses can be stopped far more easily in Windows 10 with Windows Defender, but when it comes to ransomware you're screwed. It doesn't even take the sophisticated types.

I've tested a lot of products out there and the best so far is Sophos Intercept X. I've yet to see anything slip through that without detection.

      • What's your opinion towards the present deal, Eset or Kaspersky?!

I actually have a declared association with ESET on OzBargain as I previously worked with them during their official expansion in Australia a number years ago.

In a lot of the current independent tests on AV products by organisations like AV-Comparatives, ESET Internet Security and Kaspersky Internet Security are pretty much on equal terms. I personally haven't used Kaspersky Internet Security much compared to ESET, but their TDSSKiller for rootkit removal I rate highly.

Both would be good for extra layers of protection. I guess it really comes down to cost.

        • Neither; bitdefender.
Purely because it also scores equally as high on the AV tests, but uses significantly less resources to accomplish it.
          Also, its free!

      And his qualifications are…?

      • +1

        He builds computers.

        • I suspect you are correct. I have 6 computers at work, and for less than $20 for a year it makes sense just to sign up.

  • Can I use this key for ESET Antivirus only?

    • No. The key will only work for EIS and not NOD32.

  • any deals on the antivirus only? not a fan of security suites.. :)
