      • I tried 2 computers and a phone but it would not work when I was logged in, checking out as a guest worked first time.

    • Just bought an LG microwave, no issues at all.

  • This 20% off is for me one of the best, if not the best regular OZB deal. Atleast you know it's genuine.

  • Blast, I've been waiting so long for this so I could buy a Kindle Paperwhite for ~$125 since it's been that price so many times… But just realised 20% off is still $156. Oh well

  • Must resist. I've been trying to not get the Yamaha sound bar….last time it was around $135 after eBay codes etc….didn't bite then. But at $120…..jeez….hold off man. You can do it. Resist. Resist. RESIST!!!!!

    • Just buy it.

    • Just go for it!! Been hanging on every time soundbar deals pop up, finally placed my order today and it's ready to collect.

      • +1

Hmmm. You both present persuasive arguments and I'd like to subscribe to your mailing lists.

    • It's worth it. The sound coming out from this soundbar is much much better.

  • i want to buy fridge, dryer washer dyson and cooktop. Any idea what T&C's are on C&C as my house wont be ready to move in until late april… (pretty hefty order figured they may store it.. I know bing lee would when i enquired about this at boxing day sales not ebay sale though…)

    • +6

I ended up calling my local store, they were happy to price match ebay sale (though technically they're not supposed to and were happy to hold the bigger items for me until I move into my new house next month) been hanging out for months for this sale and saved about $1600 off my order!

Another happy good guys customer :)

  • Has anyone done a click and collect for a fridge and got it in their car ( not pickup van/trucks)?
The dimensions of the fridge are 595mm width, a 1746mm height, and a 745mm.
I’ve a small SUV ( dimensions - 4191 mm length)wondering if I would be able to fit it in.
What would be the best way to go about it and avoid shipping costs?

  • +3

Does anyone have an issue with applying the code?
For me, it says the code can't be applied to your order.

    • Same issue, no response to my post above yet.

      • +1

I may be able to help, as had same issue before. Apparently my eBay account was not based in Australia. Hit up eBay chat and explain issue. They should pick up on it 😁

  • damn it I bought the soundbar from them for $140 2 weeks ago

    • What are your thoughts on it, and what do you mainly use it for (Tv, movies, music)?

      • +2

i plugged it to my spare TV which runs chromecast. Its ok but honestly I was really dissappointed at the hype. I feel like my logitech 2.1 computer speakers that are 10 years old sound better with dedicated sub and much cheaper

edit: correction the logitechs are 15years old! https://www.cnet.com/reviews/logitech-z4-review/

        • Its ok but honestly I was really dissappointed at the hype.

Yeah thats what Im worried about. Drop $120 thinking its a deal and then instantly regretting it due to the quality compared to my 2 speaker logitecs which are ~11-12 years old as well.

        • -1

Surely you realise the flaw in that comparison? A soundbar vs a dedicated sub is never going to stack up.

Plus you can hook up a sub to this if you wanted to. Personally I find the bass pretty damn good and completely adequate for my purposes - but no, it's not going to suit an expensive home theatre setup - and why would it?

          • @fLaMePrO: No. The pc speakers are not expensive. In fact I could get 2 of those sets for 1 soundbar without sub

            • @ChatCPT: Yeah, apples and oranges dude. But that's ok, this product isn't for you.

    • It's only $20 so not too bad. Imagine paying full price and finding out about the deal. Almost bought it for ~141ish OW price match Good Guys deal when I saw a comment about this offer.

  • Thanks OP. Got one soundbar.

  • -1

Got a message from Good guys 60 bonus credit when you spend 400$ plus. Anyone know would it applicable to this ebay sale?

  • Getting Error on Braun Multiquick 9, the code cannot be applied to your order

  • Miele Complete C3 Allergy Tech for $279 is an excellent deal. Same as a TGG deal from November, but I'd be very surprised if a Miele C3 can be had for cheaper anytime soon!

  • Thanks OP

  • Note that eBay says you need the collection code but it's not necessary. You just need the email from Good Guys and the PayPal transaction and your identification like drivers licence.

  • Was just looking at an item for $789. Went back 2 minutes later and now showing as $819. Cheeky !

  • I would love to buy the Chromecast. But in my apartment, I have to connect through an internet login portal to get WIFI via the web browser. So am worried whether, I would be able to connect this to the internet. Anyone here with some experience in doing so?

    • Doubt this would work.

      • Ordered one anyway.Gonna collect it tomorrow and try to use mac spoofing to get around this.

        • A mini GL-Net router for $30 might work. If you create your own wifi network off theirs then it would solve the problem

Sadly to say, price has been jacked up by TGG before the 20% deal started. I've been watching a Bissell 36984 Spotclean Portable Carpet Deep Cleaner. It was priced at $199 and now its $229, sign…

  • I got the Samsung Q90r soundbar. Was priced at $1295 and the code worked for the 20% off. That has worked out half of the rrp.

  • Hey guys, any chance there might be a better deal for the chromecast in future?

  • Was about to buy a coffee machine.
Just watched the price go up from $849 to $899 while in the checkout….

    • Yep, I bought the Oracle while it was $2199 before discount… luckily… It's now $2499

  • +1

    I bought the c9 for $2,800

    • How did you get the C9 65" for $2800 during this deal? 20% off the eBay price ($3995) makes it $3196.

  • -8

You can't put a picture of an LG OLED as the cover and have no deal for it listed. Needs to be changed. Even the price available for it through Good Guys is around $500 more than the cheapest seen.

    • +3

so you neg for a pic OP has no control over, it's automatically picking up one of the listings on that page.. smh

      • -4

Yep and he does have control over it when OP can easily change the pic to whatever he wants. It's misleading and wrong.

  • Has anyone else ever had a bug where you choose click and collect and then it reduces the postage cost but they put in the discount code and it goes back up? I paid $82 postage even after choosing click and collect and ebay won't have any of it. I called TGG to cancel the order and they said they will do it and then must have forgot as now it's on it's way.

    • Yes it was a bit clunky when I ordered it. The Click and Collect option was showing on the item page, but not in Checkout. It also complained that I was using a Parcel Locker address, even though on the item page I chose to collect from a store. In checkout, I changed to a residential address just to stop any errors popping up, but there was still no Click and Collect option appearing in Checkout.

I had to go back to the item page and choose Click and Collect again in order for it to finally show up in Checkout.

  • Would Good Guys match the 20% off price in store?

    • Unlikely. I've tried asking several times before and they all declined, and referred me to buy on eBay and choose pick up option.

It can depend on the salesperson you speak to though, so YMMV.

    • I've asked twice, and they said they can't match the eBay price in-store. For one salesperson, I asked if that's even when the eBay code is specifically a Good Guys code, he said yeah.

      • My understanding is that Ebay absorbs some of the loss so it makes sense I suppose! Good discount on some items! must resist…..oh too late!!

  • Any recommendations for coffee machines??

Compatible mounting screws for the soundbar:

  • I've been eyeing this TCL 50P8M since friday, but i just searched the site out of curiosity and it looks like its been almost $100 cheaper in the past despite having the same 20% off? Top one is ebay also so i thought it was their markup but it looks like i'm wrong.

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/490543

  • TGG increased price for TCL 75P8MR from $1295 to $1595 overnight….

  • was looking for a chest freezer and settled with appliances online. way better service (over the phone took time to explain features and extended warranty which is their care plan) and better pricing even after the ebay promo code. TGG couldnt be toss to even bother have the decency to explain their concierge plan, let alone the product itself.

suggest looking at other comparison like appliances online for better pricing.

  • Which are eligible items? Tried on a few items and code could bot be used! https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Kambrook-KRC300BSS2JAN1-Meal…

  • Biggest spend for a while from ozbargain post! - Electrolux EWW1042ADWA washer dryer and another soundbar for the projector?! Factory second washer dryer slightly cheaper from another seller but you never know! Hoping not a mistake!

  • No movement on my order. But no refund yet either.
I don't expect to get it (as usual) but maybe this time they're holding the money as long as possible cos of the virus …

  • Dammit missed it by 4 weeks
