    4%< better than nothing

Lock ins will prevail for weeks before collection of gift cards, a kind gentle warning.

Beware that Aust Post takes at least 3 weeks to deliver the EBay gift cards. There will be 2 in 3 chances that they cannot be activated, you will have to call them during their working hours only to find out that your orders are not in their system for some reason, and wait for them to investigate and get back to you. 1 in 2 chances that it will be resolved within 2 days, and the other 1 in 2 chances it will take over a week to resolve.

It does say on the listings "Please note: For your protection, gift card orders $300 and over in total are required to be activated once you have received your order. Call 1800 331 794 between 8.30am-5pm AEST, Monday-Friday to activate your gift cards."

I am aware of that. It's on the instruction letters coming with the cards. You are missing the points I was trying to make. It was about:
        1. Long wait to received the cards.
        2. Problem when trying to activate the cards (2 out of the last 3 orders I had with them), they could not find the order numbers in their "system" so cannot activate cards straight away (although these were the same numbers on the letters accompanying the cards, how did they process those order numbers if they were not in their system?)
        3. Have to wait for them to investigate. They said they would contact me within 24 hours, but it actually ended up being couple of days to over a week, I have to follow up.
I did get all cards activated in the end though. Just sharing my experience so that people are aware it may take up your time and effort. There may be a long wait before you can use the cards.

Beware, Aust Post takes at least 3 weeks to deliver anything, even if it's from the same city, not sure why gift cards would be any different

      • Wow, negged? Found the Aus Post employee..

  • Please note: For your protection, gift card orders $300 and over in total are required to be activated once you have received your order.

  • Anyone know when dan Murphy or first choice liquor will have 10% cash back ?

    • +11

I asked my Gudetama 8-ball…and it said "have you got any soy sauce?"

    • Cashback has cancelled ANY Dan Murphy's cashback. This was announced several days ago.

      • And the reason?

        Temporary or indefinite?

  • -3

A nice deal in normal circumstances.
4% off unsecured claims on businesses that could go broke, just as Australia enters the deepest recession for at least 90 years?
Many thousands of small businesses and a few big ones won't be operating by Christmas.

    • +3

Depends on what you purchase? Eg Spotify isn’t going anywhere…

      • +1

        Neither is ebay or amazon

    • TIL I learnt Amazon and eBay are "small businesses" and don't operate outside of Australia.

    • Oh dad!

  • +1

    thx mate

  • +10

Suncorp Rewards already give you 6% off Catch and 3% off Amazon and Google Play, without the wait.
Not much of a deal here (if you have Suncorp) except for the 4% cashback on eBay cards.

Edit: Thanks for the downvote, but am I wrong?

    • +3

It is also possible to buy custom-value Amazon cards on Suncorp so you don't end up having an annoying balance in your account.

      • Damn that's awesome

    • +5

Amazon GC comes instantly with Suncrop rewards, been purchasing a few times with the exact amount I want

    • +1

There is a limit with suncorp per month as well.

    • +1

Cool just realise if you are with Shannon you have access to Suncorp rewards! ive been missing out.

      • +1

You can get Suncorp rewards by opening a free savings account with Suncorp

  • Westfield gift cards all out of stock.

  • Does anyone know if eBay giftcards work with sellers that only accept PayPal?

    • +1

      Has for me.

  • Has anyone had their cashback tracked from ebay gift cards? I have a click history in the app, but no purchase.
