Looking for Cheapest Deals on a Laptop Dock

Hi all,

I recently purchased a laptop for office, home and gaming. I have an external monitor and am planning to buy one more for a better work space. Was just wondering if there were any really cheap deals on laptop docks going around at the moment? I often go around from site to site, but when I'm at home, I would love to be able to plug in just through the USB-C port and have everything ready to go. Currently am always having to re-connect and disconnect 4-5 cables every time I get home and I do realize at this point I'm asking for a luxury but I have the funds so I figure might as well.

Thanks in advance.

  • If you only need one external monitor you can get something like this
    https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B07SHR5JKR/ref=ppx_yo_d…

It does power passthrough if you have usbC-pd ports. So you plug in monitor, keyboard, mouse and usb C power input etc then connect to laptop with the usb C cable. Tons of brands on amazon. I think Kogan also sells them

I have a Dell WD19TB dock (thunderbolt) which includes a power supply and multiple monitor outputs, but it's much more expensive.

    • Much thanks. Still considering all the options.

  • I bought this one:

USB C Type C MultiPort 7-in-1 Adapter Hub Converter with 4K HDMI, USB 2.0 & 3.0, TF/SD Slots, PowerPassThru Port by GizmoGood https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B07G9HPCVR

    $39.95, free delivery.

Has all the basic features including passthrough charging (which some cheaper ones don't).

Not an endorsement by any means - just letting you know that kind of products exist. Read the reviews and do your research.

  • This may or may not be relevant for you. I've got the jumpgate by Skull&Co https://skullnco.com/products/jumpgate-for-nintendo-switch
Primarily for the switch but can detach a part which has a usb-c to usb-c power, hdmi and 2* usb 2.0 ports. I've got it connected to my work laptop and works well on my 34 ultrawide.
