HyperX Cloud Flight S

Howdy,

Does anyone know where I can buy a set of the HyperX Cloud Flight S's (https://www.hyperxgaming.com/en/headsets/cloud-flight-s-wire…) in Australia.

I've been eyeing off these since late last year when they were announced; now they're released and due to COVID, nowhere appears to be stocking them, i've emailed scorptec, PLE, Centrecom, JB HI FI, Mwave, who have all said essentially due to covid they're not getting ranging new items.

The website only lists PC wholesalers, under the 'where to buy' section and given I aint a retailer I dont have access to the wholesale sites.

I've been using earphones for the past 4 weeks since my old headset broke, and now ive gone through two sets of earphones… so kinda getting desperate.

Thx

  • What's the difference with the Cloud Alpha S if you need it now?

    • The flights are wireless.

Regular flight's dont have the the independent voice/game volume controls, qi charging (meh) and 7.1 (meh) which is why I'm not looking at those.

    • Think this can be used wirelessly

  • Looks like you might have to get a different model. what do you like about the flights in particular?

    • Just seems to have a good balance of everything to be honest, design, weight, qi charging, its the only headset that has this. Removable mic

  • What are the review's like for the flight S wireless. Looking to get new wireless headphone as well. Alot of reviews of other wireless headphones have very tinny microphone sound. Also the sound quality of the surround sound is not that good. We were looking at the Artis 7s

    • Arctis 7s was my 2nd preference to be honest. There isnt much out there in the wireless market…. it just seems that the hyperx rates higher in the user reviews… so theres got to be something about them right?

      • That's what I am interested to know as well.

  • The Flight S is a new release product. We expect Mwave to possibly have stock by end of April :)

    • Hoooowww bout we can pre-order? I want you to take my money :P

  • Not to high jack the thread, but what about the Corsair Virtuoso. 20 hrs, usbc, good, mic, reasonable sound, relatively cheap. Going to start seeing what best price I can get for these. If anyone fi ds ajy at a good price can you post up. You can also use wired while charging. Head phone jack. Also detach mic so you can use as normal headphones wired. No bluetooth though

    • Just bought the Corsair.More expensive at $345 with CC. There is still the Flight from JB for $249 & in stock. Flight has been cheaper again at some sites previously.

      • JB had the regular flights on sale last week for $179; even then more expensive then amazon, by ALOT, probably because its a JB HI FI exclusive. hmmm…. the corsair go well with my keyboard…. and it means less software running on my PC. Let me know how you go with them; and by any chance do you have a ps4 that you can test them on :P

        • No PS4. From reviews they say the 7.1 surround sound doesn't work or the voice telling you mic on or off through head phones.

For construction. Really premium finish. The band, arm, and side covers are metal not plastic.

          • @Melb69: I just sucked it up and got the Acrtis 7's - Corsairs lack of voice/game controls was too much for me to pass up, I loved this feature on my old headset.

            Hows the headset?

            • @Mintee: I think as whole the Virtuoso were and hopefully are going to be a long lasting headphone. We had the RaZer Mano War wireless, and it was getting a bit embarrassing wearing them as the ear cup hinge had broken(pour construction - plastic), and was taped, and the head band had to be taped, and the ear cup fake leather were shedding bits off it. In the end we needed new ones as it wouldn't charge properly anymore with the Usb B connector cable. The Virtuoso has metal hinges and construction - hardly any plastic, and USB C braided cable. We are getting a full days use out of it as long as we don't use the RGB. If with them on even at the lowest LED setting probably getting 6.5hours. When you leave the head phone cups flat it will go into sleep mode which is a good feature. With the sound there are EQ settings in the ICue app, but non that you can toggle on the headphone itself. There is 7.1 surround sound and side tone settings, but all set in the ICue app. Main downside is the cost, but hoping that we will get many years out of it. It doesn't have switchable battery/ spare battery which the SteelSeries ones have.

Maybe put in your thoughts on your new A7s. Might help others in the future.
