It means people can start preparing for when these difficult times are over and through Tafe NSW if you pop on to their website you can actually acquire how you can do one of these courses from home and get qualified over a short period of time rather than just if you haven’t got a job or not working from home it is an opportunity for you to upgrade your skills or acquire new skills so you can enter or re-enter the workforce when you finish this difficult time.

      • It's showing an "Enrol Now" button for me.

        • They fixed it a day or two ago

  • Think enrolment is full for these 2:

  • is there an offer end date?

      • @squandt

        What to do next?

  • Most seem to cover off thing I'v edone in my work, assuming I can tick of quickly given most content for admin ones will be things I"ve already done in work. Is there a requirement to do it to the time specified or could you cut to the end quick and complete lots of these in a few weeks?

  • What if I enrol for a course, and after a few days of involvement realise it is too basic or more advanced than what I need?

  • I have enrolled in a course but didn't get an email account :(

    • How long ago did you enrol? It does take time to make new students’ e-mail accounts; they don’t magically appear as soon as you enrol …

      • Fair enough. I got enrollment confirmation yesterday.

I just enroll today and got confirmation already but still no email account? Did I miss a steps? I can login to student portal already.

          • @dpoon73: Did you read the comment two comments above yours? It's not automatically created your e-mail address 🙄

  • Up an running on team leader course. Cheers op

… I'm pretty sure this uses taxpayers money.

Serious questions raised about how useful some of these courses are to most people. For people that have admin experience I would put that above getting a certificate. If you already do administration in your old job but were laid off recently; I seriously doubt it would be helpful for one to complete a course with skills you already have.

    Open to discussion though.

The quality of TAFE outside of the trade apprenticeships is questionable.

  • does this work with apple education store ?

    • You don't need an education email address to buy from the Apple Education Store.

  • How long can I keep the education benefits? Can I enroll a course and leave it there forever?

    • Nope. There are published deadlines.

    • No, you'll eventually be withdrawn from the course if you're not enrolled in any subjects and don't do anything to formally withdraw or defer your studies.
