    You will need to understand the fundamentals before choosing the filters. E.g. A Guide to Neutral Density Filters
    Different lighting condition requires different ND filter value. It is best to buy a filter set of various ND values rather than single one (unless you can control the weather). Not to mention the location, e.g. you'd also want a PL filter if shooting over ocean/lakes.
