Getting support from BOOST mobile

Hi all,

Anyone know what is the best way to get support from Boost Mobile?

I activated a SIM card on March 28th. I then got an e-mail saying it would take 24 hours to activate but I have not gotten any update (or an active SIM) after 10 days.

Trying to get a hold of someone on the phone or via chat has been impossible. I know it's trying times with COVID-19, but

Thanks in advance for any help

  • Hi.

Let me guess, you're porting your old phone number?

I tried to port a number to Boost on 30 March but was unable to. After 40 minute on the phone to get through, they told me that the porting team in India is locked down and that they couldn't give me a timeframe of when the port would happen.

    • Same deal with the optus porting team in India - locked down in quarantine.

  • Having trouble with telstra too

You need to call on a weekday from 9.00 am and keep on hold for at least 40-60 minutes - that is my personal experience this Monday.
When I called from 6 pm I was on hold for more than 1.5 hours without any success. Chat is useless.

Hey everyone, I've switched over a couple services from other providers to Boost so I'll be as clear as possible 😬

To be honest, both experiences have been fairly smooth. The first was six months ago and I activated the Sim online and my number switched over the morning after. Yes, it was that easy.

Now, 24 March, I activated a Boost Sim online. Entered my previous postpaid provider's account number. Sim was active straight away with a temporary number, also had email verification.

I should have done it straight away but that doesn't matter - I called up last Thursday at 4pm WA time (was driving, connected to Bluetooth dw) and it took 25minutes to get in touch with a Boost care agent who processed the port in less than 5minutes. She was friendly and extremely apologetic

She asked for Sim Serial Number. Then verified my details. She also asked for details of my previous provider. Now if it's a prepaid port in, date of birth must match. If you're porting in from a Postpaid like I did, Boost needs previous Postpaid Account number.

They also acknowledged that I activated the Sim card 24th March - ie. I'm eligible to get 120GB instead of 80GB on the $150 Boost pack :) She said I would get the bonus 40GB in 24 to 48hours as they had to apply that manually once my number ported over…fair enough.

Number ported over in two minutes after that call. Hope this helps.

Be patient and if a call to them takes longer than half hour, just try again at another earlier time
