        • Yes. I looked it up more. I'm used to the hybrid style of two physical Sims or 1 sim + 2 microsd. I believe esim is available on only 3 carriers. No resellers. Hopefully it'll change in a year.

still too expensive you're basically paying 1150 for the phone if you factor out a monthly aldi plan for 12 months

    • still cheaper than outright price, isnt it?

    • Aldi plan is $45 for 48GB = $540
      Total Telstra $65*12+649 = $1429
      $1429-$540=$889

      Isnt it $889???????????????

      • They were probably calculating off the $25 plan, which does not have comparable data included compared to this

    • Wellll, it will be cheaper if you sell the phone :)

  • Does the Australian versions come with millimetre 5G?

JerryRigEverything on YouTube opened Korean S20 Ultra and it did not have the mm module. He said it was because Korea did not have mm 5G operational yet so Samsung left it out. Wondering if it's same in Australia so the Samsung's current 5G would only be about 20% faster than 4G.

  • Last year I got a similar deal with a different phone. Went onto chat and changed to $49 plan for same inclusions successfully. Anyone done this recently with these new offers?

    • so did you ask telstra chat to sell the phone at X price and then talk down the plan from $65 to $45? if so I need some more details :)

      • Ported in at JBHIFI into the $65 plan, then went home and changed to $49. Similar exclusions . There were a few doing it and having mixed results.

    • @tex is this $49 including any discounts or $49 pm straight up on the 12 months plan?
They didn't ask you what you had done at JB HiFi that very same day you ported in?

$49 straight up. Took a few attempts with different people.

        • That's awesome mate! I wonder if I port in for JB's current special, if Telstra chat will allow this.. Did u get any other discounts?

        • Can you please send a photo of transcript? I’m really trying to get a discount but they refuse.

    • Telstra chat is out of service due to COVID-19.
This option might not work during these days.

  • still waiting for a S20 Ultra deal

  • Does this deal apply to new numbers as well, not just port-ins?

  • think i can still manage my Galaxy s5 for this year( Android might end support for Marshmallow this year for apps like google pay and other). hopefully i will find a gd deal by the time it gets killed

Is buying this in store considered essential travel?

  • Hmm…should I get this or the Ultra 5G from the Samsung Education Store?

    • Ultra 5G

its 220 grams. had issue when my old phone was 200 grams and had issue when talking long calls.

  • Hmmm, trying to crunch some numbers.

This is Telstra’s Medium plan which is being offered for $50 per month ($60 with $10 credit)
So whatever you pay for the phone, you should also factor in the extra $130 ($15 x 12)

I am still trying to balance the deals. I need a new plan for my course being push online. Kogan ain’t cutting it.

    • The Telstra BYO also has POMD which JB does not have.

    can we buy this online?

Rude how they are doing in-store only with the whole COVID situation. Is there anything you can't do online that you need to be physically in store?

    • Presumably so their stock of s20+'s done dry up :p

Real shame, I'm about 300kms off the nearest JB and would've definitely gone with this if it were an online thing.

  • Would love to see a great review on the cameras this phone has.
DXO doesn’t have one, all I’ve seen seem to be little reviews on when it was first released, nothing in depth.

  • Thanks OP. Got this deal but couldn't take home the phone as the porting is still provisioning. Hope it gets completed tonight so I can get it tomorrow. Upgrading from S9+

Not sure if I should buy it given comments like these are growing day by day

  • Has anyone seen any Perth stores offering this? I've just been to one and saw the same deal but $799 upfront. Or am I missing something? https://imgur.com/gallery/qBHJjRZ

Nevermind. Had to ask the store people and they looked it up and found it.
