    Get a Brother. https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/brother-mo…

Try this one. I just have the cheap mono one no scanner. I do wish I bought the dual page printer though. Good if you doing a lot of report or assignments printing. Saves paper.

      Get a Brother.

Need to ask Mum and Dad for help with this one, and you might end up with a Sister by accident too. This is only available as a pre-order with a minimum 9-month delivery time.

    i don't recommend fuji

    • So you don't recommend Brother either? Since they're the same machines underneath…

      • Are you sure about that?

        • Fuji Xerox P115w = Brother HL-1210w. Different shells, same innards and interchangeable consumables.

    +1 for Brother.

Generic toners readily available on eBay.

  • Yep +1 for Brother.
All my printers are from Brother.
Brother printers at my workplace are also long-lasting.

    • Work place normally use canon if they are using station

  • Brother. I have this one, works great. Handy for scanning documents with the document feeder too.

  • Thanks everyone very helpful

  • We've got an ancient mono laser Brother printer, and I upgraded and got a colour duplex one too. They're both still going, although the newer one often has annoying errors that require a bit of mucking around to get it going again. Generally, Brother has been great.

  • If you can afford it get a printer that will do automatic double sided printing. Brother is the go. I have a colour laser and a mono and both are very good. The mono had some firmware problems initially but the support was excellent and so was the new maxi sized toner cart they gave me.

  • Merged from Low Cost Laser Printer Recommendations?

Can anyone recommend a cheapish laser printer that doesn't cost much to run please? It is just for home and will not use it a lot. I am really over buying printers where the cartridge seems to fail after very little use. Doesn't need to print colour. TIA

Brother HL1110 or Brother HLL2395 (Multifunction).

I just replaced my HL1110 with the HLL2395. Toner in the HL1110 would last me years and cost almost nothing on ebay. I just bought 3 cartridges for my new printer for $45. That's $45 for 3.

I have a Brother Mono Laser Printer HL-1110 which is working fine since many years. This old model didn't have wifi, but on network via a NUC (as shared printer)

Inkjet cartridges fail soon because they dry up since you are not using! Use at least once every few weeks.

I have a Brother HL-L2350DW and I usually get a 2 pack of high yield toner at $24.50 each.

As above, Brother is the way to go.

I got a FUJI XEROX - P265 DW. I think it is a rebadged brother.

      bought from here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/310400

Toner is cheap on ebay.. already done 7830 pages (changed toner twice i think ) and still going~

They usually are. Fuji Xerox P115 is a rebadged Brother HL-1110 mentioned above.
