To support Play At Home, PlayStation will try to make those occasionally dull moments more exciting by offering Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and Journey available for free* for a limited time through digital downloads from April 15 at 8pm PDT through May 5, 2020 at 8pm PDT Once you redeem the games, they are yours to keep.

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection

For most of you, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection will need no introduction. This three-game collection from the masters at Naughty Dog includes Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception—all meticulously remastered for PS4. We can’t imagine a better time for globe-trotting adventures with Nathan Drake, an iconic cast of characters, and thrilling treasure-hunting action gameplay.

Journey

Then there’s Journey, a beautiful, celebrated adventure that is as moving as it is mysterious. The game’s life-affirming message is timeless, and perhaps more important now than ever before.

Free for all PS4 users, PlayStation Plus subscription not required

For those that have a little more time on their hands, you can receive a third free game, being Knack 2. However you'll need to set up a PSN account on the German store.

The process is very simple and is no different to setting up an account on the US PSN store - once the game is made available for free from 16th April this simply needs to be downloaded for free from the German PSN store, after which the game will be perfectly playable from an AU PSN account.

      Someone has confirmed that their PS+ subscription expired which had the ps+ free version of Uncharted: Nathan Drake Collection linked and they were able to download the UC: TNDC April play at home edition again without an active PS+ sub.

      for some reason, this morning the uncharted collection is available for purchase to me when I click through the main banner. I am sure I have "bought" it during PS+.

      You only need the German PSN account for Knack 2, which is a German game. The other two games are on the Australian PS store. I was confused about this as well!

    How do you just add them to your library without actually downloading on the PS4? It just says download which automatically downloads the whole thing

    While this is busy, can anyone recommend a HDD for PS4 Pro? I have 1TB, but some games I bought are 100GB!

      when i bought a ps4 pro, i stuck a 2TB seagate firecuda SSHD in it first thing… perfect size, my collection is all digital. i've had to cycle, but still manage to keep tonnes of games installed & never really had to worry about not having enough space.

      ps4's barely benefit at all from SSD's, so its by far the best performance bang for buck too. the caching is noticeably effective on loads compared to my standard original ps4 (in which i upgraded with the 1TB hdd that came with the ps4 pro).

      beyond that you can add any external drive, but personally i wouldnt bother or play any games that way…

    I don't have a PlayStation but managed to buy them. I had an account that I think I previously created trying to get PS Now before realising it's not in Australia. Try create an account there if you have trouble.

    For the many of us that have already claimed one/both games via PS+ and are unable to claim this new copy that won't be tied to a PS+ subscription. I've found a way around it which worked for me and hopefully will for you too:

    1. Open PlayStation store on your web browser. Make sure to sign out.
    2. Click link to game you want (ensure you are still signed out)
    3. Add to cart, which will then prompt you to sign in. Sign in now.
    4. The game will now be showing in your cart as free. Proceed with purchase.
    5. Enjoy

    If you want to be extra sure that it went through, check your email afterwards and you should have an email re: your latest transaction which will now be tied for the lifetime of your account regardless of ps+ status.

      Did this work for Journey? I noticed they changed something today so that Uncharted could be added to cart without needing to do this trick at all, but I just tried it for Journey and it didn't add to cart.

      Unfortunately you cannot check out Journey using the same method it doesn't add to cart. it recognises that you have it on PS Plus already….

    I can confirm that sony must have changed something on their backend. Previously, I didn't have the option to add these games to my cart because they already appeared as "purchased" via PS+ freebies. Today, I did have that option and I was successfully able to purchase them. When I fired up the console, the titles no longer had an "expiry date" in it's information page. When I checked them previously, they had the same "expiry date" as when my ps+ subscription would end. Now, that field isn't even present.

          Ahh, yes. I suppose it's technically network playable as you have another random player join you on the Journey, which really is a big part of the "experience" IMO.

    just saying, this is also FREE on PS3 - please update the title.

    You must click to purchase on the PC. When you go to the store on the PS3, you will see it there as a download option for Demo and the Full game.
