Jb Hi-fi Update 4 May: $124 at JB Hi-Fi and "Awaiting Stock".

Explore a fantasy adventure world to defeat a bodybuilding dragon and his minions using real-life exercises!

Traverse grass-swept plains by jogging in place, attack enemies with overhead shoulder presses, and refill your health meter by striking some yoga poses. Two new accessories, the Ring-Con and Leg Strap, measure your real-world actions and help turn them into in-game movements. With additional minigames and customizable workout routines, Ring Fit Adventure is great escape for players of all skill levels and schedules.

In Adventure mode, defeat enemies with attacks based on real-world exercises as you traverse more than 100 levels in over 20 worlds. As you work through each level (and possibly work up a sweat), you’ll earn experience points. Between fights, you may encounter some unusual methods of transportation such as squat-powered launch pads. Then, pass around the Ring-Con and leg strap accessories and select from a few minigames: break boxes with gusts of air, craft pottery using squats, and more.

Explore a huge fantasy world and defeat enemies using real-life exercise
Jog, Sprint, and high knee through over 100 levels in more than 20 worlds
Control in-game movements with the new Ring-Con and Leg Strap accessories

    What's the RRP?

    • +12

Its a hot product, RRP is kinda 120$ but has been out of stock since release pretty much every day.

If you want ring fit this is probably the best price you will get for a while (that hasnt been jacked)

    • +1

      ~$125

    • -8

"bEiNg iN sToCk MaKeZ iT a DeAL!!1!1!!!1"

  • Awaiting stock still it seems

    • You have to put in your postcode and click Find. It's only available instore, the main listing will always say awaiting stock.

    • Call the store, It was not in stock online for me and when I called the store, the guy said that he had heaps in stock. When I went and picked it up I could see at least 10 more available at JB hifi wetherill park

  • Won't be posted until at least June

  • Still no stock anywhere near me. Good luck on your quest adventurers.

  • -2

Both of these pages have been awaiting stock for quite a while.
EDIT: Sorry didn't notice BIGW delivery available.

    • I'm so curious:
      Why?

      • +8

One each for my boys and one for me.

By the downvotes, I probably should have stipulated that, to begin with.

      • -4

        Scalper

        • +4

If I was scalping I would have cleaned out the store. We have been searching for this for ages and I wasn't prepared to pay $200+ each for them

          • @adamshere: Why do you need more than one?

            • +1

@FireRunner: Because we all have our own Switch and with this, there will be no fighting between the two and they can race each other.

              • +5

@adamshere: Seems like an expensive way of doing things but ok

                • +9

@FireRunner: I agree, surely you dont all play it at the exact same time! Its such an expensive game….oh well, you do you!

                  • +2

@JuryWheel: dude.. they already have three switch consoles in the house.. plus there will probably be two or three copies of the same games so they can all play co-op together. It seems thinking has not been engaged.

                    • +2

@gizmomelb: wait, you're right… 3 Switches, 3 Nintendo Online subscriptions (or family), 3 copies of the game, 3 Ring Fit Adventures… wow..

                      • +4

@Zazer: It sounds like a great life to me. So foreign and hard to imagine, but if I think hard enough I can kind of picture it! It's probably the kind of world where you get different food items from KFC, Hungry Jacks and McDonalds and use them to make one meal. Nothing's too much trouble! Nothing's too excessive! A wonderful life!

                        • +3

@garworsby: Lmao how is your comment downvoted. That is a lifestyle of a KING!

                        • @garworsby: I do that because they are across the road from me and across the parking lot from each other. Burgers from HJ, wicked wings from KFC. Its really not that difficult.

  • Does this work on it own or it needs any other main console?

    • +4

It's for the Nintendo Switch, you'll need one to play the game.

    • +3

You can probably play it on it's own if you have a decent imagination.

  • is this going to be another balance board… where only a handful of games that didn't fully utilise this where released?

    • It's probably only going to be 100% compatible with this game. However considering its popularity, it may get a sequel

    • +7

      It's literally it's own, one product/game.

I picked it up around November last year and have about 190hrs clocked so far according to my Switch profile. Good purchase if you need some gamer incentive and motivation to remain active while staying indoors.

        • +18

Or you could have fun while playing Ring Fit Adventure. What's your point? Oh right, video games are bad and corrupting our youth.

          My bad

        • +6

I tried that but people got really angry when I started jumping on the turtles.

        • +2

          ¿Por qué no los dos?

    • +1

most definitely… doesn't mean its not useful. Lots of people have commented that it has helped their fitness levels so it's likely worthwhile if you already have a switch during this lockdown.

    • +18

is this going to be another balance board

No no no, nothing of the sort.
      It's a ring

    • Honestly, if this is the only game that supports it, it's still not bad value imo. Ring Fit adventure is much, much better than Wii Fit at both being a game and being a decent workout. Plus the ring could at least be used on it's own, unlike the balance board which was an oversized paper weight without the game.

  • Thanks ordered 1 at Big W

This item is selling between 200-280 through FB Marketplace/Scamtree.

    Unbelievable!

  • I rang up one of the JB stores, and apparently the staff said "in stock" is only for those who pre-ordered. i.e. you can't actually buy them in store without pre-order?

    • -1

Same, one guy said yeah i have one spare, I said I'll be there in 15 minutes I need to drive there can you hold it? Nahhhhhhhh it'll have to be a game of hunger games, whoever gets in first, fk that man.

  • +1

    • Cheers. Ordered one.

      • how? i tried some postcodes but none of them works.

    • Home delivery is not available for this product.

      • Probably out of stock now. Originally did pickup but during checkout noticed Delivery became available so I did that instead.

      • +3

  • Is one box for single player or multiple (or at least 2 players)?

    • Single player

    • +8

Be safe, if you're sharing your ring with others.

  • -2

I still like the original Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus on Wii and Wii U than this….

    • +1

Wii Fit and Wii Fit U is getting more use in our house with the kids than any other game at the moment.
Parents v Kids for bragging rights 😂

      • Haha exactly. It's great for kids and family.

  • -5

Just wait for the easing of restrictions and this will be in the bargain bin. its only popular because people are stuck at home.

    • +6

Have you even tried it or are you bashing it for the sake of bashing it?

      • +1

im not bashing it, i want the game, im just giving a tip to people who want to save money. this is oz bargain isnt it? RRP isnt a bargain.

        • +1

This game has been out of stock since end of January, before lockdown happened. It took 2 months for it to be restocked.

Low stock levels will stop this game from getting discounted for a while, if at all. Best to get a copy at RRP while you can.

          • +1

@Iwilltakeit: It was out of stock for a few reasons, Nintendo didn't anticipate its relative popularity so it had to increase production, this happened around the same time that china closed down and stopped or slowed production. now that the whole world is at home it is way more popular than before, Chinas manufacturing is still not at high capacity so that plus the increased demand means that there is not enough stock to fill demand. But, there is one thing we know about Nintendo from their amiibo and other lines, they often overcompensate after something becomes popular and release heaps more into the market bringing prices down. This also dosen't count all the people who will buy this and, after the restrictions are lifted, want to sell it to recoup some money now that they can go to the gym etc. Thats why im saying this will become significantly cheaper in the future.

            • @acidantics: Hmm. I didn't consider the china lockdown in affecting production of nintendo products. But the china lockdown happened in January and this game has been having stock problems since release in October. I'm still going to grab myself a copy asap when it's available for me. Hope prices and stock works out for you.

            • @acidantics: Switch games don't really go down in price much though.

I would say maybe in a years time you could get it on a sale maybe 70-80 bucks.

Probably not worth waiting a year to save 40 bucks.

              • @witsa: Oh, this is definitely untrue nowadays. Used to be the case, but I've gotten quite a few of my Switch titles at $30-40 deals instead of the $70-80+ full price hits. Though I do agree that it's just not worth waiting a year, as even a month at many gyms will cost you as much if not more than this. Like everything, if you use it, it's worth the price.

            • -2

@acidantics: just don't buy it play the better titles from Wii U and Wii.

Wii fit board + WiRemote heaps better than this $h%6

    • +1

For a game that has pretty much been sold out since its release in October last year, I don't think it will be in the "bargain bin" any time soon.

Feel free to do your research before slogging something off next time.

      • -1

i was being hyperbolic, fine, it will be heaps cheaper when everyone is selling them off. i am not "slogging" the game off, i want the game. Everyone has gotten so sensitive online since they are stuck at home, its nuts.

        • +2

          Everyone has gotten so sensitive

When one person is so sensitive, maybe the problem is them. When everyone is so sensitive, maybe the problem is you.

          • @S2: Amen!

          • @S2: its not like there is a world wide event which is adversely affecting 100s of millions of people. no it must be me…

            • @acidantics: It's not making everyone so sensitive. Gamers, geeks and introverts would likely be doing fine.

For the millions unhappy in isolation, maybe they could use this game even at RRP.

Maybe you really do have a skill at seeking sensitive people or just labelling them as such.

              no it must be me…

That's what I'm leaning towards. Act like a hammer, see lots of nails.

              • @S2: Do you end all your comments with proverbs?

                • @acidantics: Not at all. I only thought of them whilst replying to you and think they fit. Have I managed to convince you with any of them?

  • Thanks OP got one….

Now waiting for sale for Odessy and Smash bros!!!

    • +3

Why, get them RRP like this.

      • Many JB not accepting pre order. Stock come n and gone within 30 mins.
EB can pre order and some store had so many reserves they try not to do it anymore.

So if you want to play, consider lucky paying RRP .

        • +1

But is that a bargain? It's not OzFindStock lol

          • @RocketSwitch: Post better, get all the votes!

            • @Ulysses31: If I find a deal and not RRP or higher than RRP, I will :)

              • @RocketSwitch: The RRP is the problem here. It's merely a guide.
Like Nvidia Shield. When it's raised, it'll satisfy your req.

  • +1

Got one at JB Indro, one left at time of posting. Don’t bother calling as they’re not holding them for anybody!

  • Thanks OP. Ordered one.

  • Ordered one from my local BigW

  • +1

    no stock nsw

  • thanks OP! finally get to order 1!

And Checked Jb hi-fi Moore Park, they have NO stock for customers, all reserved for Pre-orders.

  • +8

This game is actually great. I’ve lost 8kg since Feb. just using Ring Fit at home. I had the Wii Balance Board back in the day, but that ended up in the cupboard after a few weeks, tbh.
    Ring Fit is very different.
    1) there are countless real world exercises that totally tone you up and help you drop the kilos.
    2) the best thing here is that it really ‘game-ifys’ exercise, to the point where it just feels like you’re playing a fun adventure game. Even if you don’t do any of the toning exercises, even just the running component is brilliant.
    3) they’ve just updated and added a full Rhythm game mode, which is substantial and awesome.

    • +1

Do you need to connect online at any point?

      • No - the game as is doesn’t need online.
There is an additional function of the Ring that can be used when system is off (hardly used), which may require online.

    • +8

Losing weight is all well and good but has it actually made your ring fitter?

    • +1

The Rhythm game mode is so good. Makes it a lot more fun haha

  • Thank you!

  • +1

Thanks OP. I got the last one at JB Hi-Fi Moore Park Home. They won't really hold for anyone so yeah I wouldn't bother calling.

  • Can you play 2 players?

    • +1

      Single player

    • It's single-player, but you can have more than one profile on the Switch for others who want to play.

  • +1

Not available at any BIG W store in sydney if the website is anything to go by

  • -3

Thanks bought because I found stock at big w but have no idea what it is.
