Up to 150,000 Qantas Points over Two Years When Signing up for Qantas Insurance

111

Obviously each person should investigate and compare policies for their own needs. I personally was with Qantas (when it was Qantas Assure) for 3 years and not only was it cheaper for my situation than other companies but I earned a lot of points too. For others this may differ.

Limited Time Offer
Earn up to 150,000 Qantas Points
over 2 years. Offer ends 8 May.
All policies earn Qantas Points, to earn the maximum points, you must purchase a Gold Hospital and Top Extras cover for a Couple, Single Parent, or Family. Not available to customers with an existing health insurance policy issued by, or on behalf of nib.

Lol need insurance for your points!

These offers run pretty regularly. I looked at it a year or so ago but the insurance was so overpriced it made the points not worth it (for me anyway).

    • yeah that's why I said each person needs to evaluate. For my conditions, I actually claimed back more than I was spending so that worked out nicely. But not for everyone.

Way over priced for few points. I have never had a quote which has been cheaper than my current insurer.
I got a call last week after getting a quote online, I told them exactly what I thought about it and the girl was appreciative of the feedback and said she would let the program sponsors know.

I tried again and it offers 13,200 points for over two years lol

  • $500 a year more expensive than my current PHI, no thanks.

This bonus points offer only available on their most expensive offerings!

that's clearly written in the description, and even the title says "up to". You still can earn points at any level of insurance. Would not think that to be worthy of a downvote.

Once you sign up with Qantas Insurance
Remember to download the Qantas Wellbeing app to earn extra points from your daily steps
I started using the Wellbeing app 1 year ago and have already earned nearly 50000 extra QFF points

Yes, it's great. Even if you're not a member, you get a few points, which is at least enough to stop your Qantas Points expiring (you have to earn at least 1 point every … 18 months? to keep them alive. Plus, points!

      • +1. We aren’t members but the app gives us a few points each day. It, also, gets us off our backsides to go out and exercise. Many years ago, before it was so easy to keep points ticking over, Qantas tried to snaffle our points for inactivity. We got them back but it took persistence. The app means you won’t time out, if you just do the steps, exercise etc.

Its over 2 years too to get the max 150k. So you are stuck with them for 2 years. No thanks.

    • yes, that's literally in the title.

They often run deals when you only have to be with them for 60 days for 120,000 points.

I have done this deal 3 times now. I simply put my current PH cover on hold and take out this policy for the 2 months, costs me about an extra $20pw but well worth it for the points.

Actually reading the T&Cs you get 125,000 points credited after 60 days, so pretty good actually. Just cancel. Not worth holding it for another 22 months for 25,000 pts.

  • Signed up last year and got 60K points for a family policy, and ended up being 50 bucks a month cheaper than my current insurer at the time. Mileage may vary but pays to check out of interest.

Their bronze cover is the best value hospital cover in the market. Show me a better one for 17.98 a week. They also give me free 500 points a month for wellbeing Rewards, without app device, for average steps plus points on my premium they also give you 5000 points for any referrals who else does that

  • I think its attractive if you are churning for points: 125k points (because extra 25k not worth it) after 60 days and then switch could be attractive if you work out ($ for 60 days of cover with qantas insurance) - ($ what you normally pay). It is a bit of hassle but normally worth it for that amount of points.

  • Dont forget you get another 5000 points signing up here

  • Aren’t they underwritten by NIB? If so I wouldn’t go near them. Lots of stories about how NIB don’t have enough coverage and therefore end up paying out of pocket for tests etc

    • Can you show me where these stories are?
